    @Jessiee: NOTHING Paps says surprises me. Nothing. He did say that he’d like to stay in Boston, but Pap’s mouth just seems to go.

    hahaha i guess your right. The only thing he can’t seem to close is his mouth. I hope he stays in a Red Sox Uni. But his contract doesnt expire untill what is it 2011, so its like whatever.

    @Jessiee: I actually think what he said is quite true for a MLB player. they asked an honest question and he gave an honest answer. it’s just not what fans like to hear.

    I’m Glad Justin is well rested.

  23. 2009 June 19 at 7:17 pm

    I just turned the game on….already not good news. So, why is Dice-K still in our rotation while we are using a 6 man rotation and Clay Freakin’ Buchholz is pitching like a god down in AAA???? Aurgh.

    @Jessiee: Actually…if and when Pap went to the Yanks, I predict he will be loved by the fans there. They hate him know, but all secretly would love to have him on the team.

    I just posted an entry over on Fenway West saying that Pap really needs to pay someone to follow him around and stop him from saying stupid things. What is interesting…is that the guy is honest…people just don’t want to hear it. I know I don’t. Pap will do what he needs to do. He wants to stay with the Sox, but is starting to see the writing on the wall…and wants to go somewhere that will give him bank and also wins…umm…Yanks.

    Seriously Dice-K…you suck. Can’t blame this on FAILHAT…the failure is all you.

    @jules: Dice-K apparently wants to solve the Sox’s starting rotation dilemma for them by taking a stroll to the DL.

  27. 2009 June 19 at 7:19 pm

    @shelley1005: Dice-K’s contract is the problem. He can’t be traded, and (IIRC) he can’t be sent down to the minors.

    @shelley1005: I agree with the pay someone to follow him around thing. At least if he did ever sign with the Yanks to get major $bank$ we would have had a bit more fair warning, unlike a longhaired greedy caveman we know. THANK YOU YOUK!

    Dear Theo,

    No trade clause? What were you thinking? Seriously, you can’t even send him to the minors. You better make up for this by signing Jason Bay.

    More love when you fix this,
    Me

    @Jessiee: we should send that to him.

    @lone1c: LMAO

  38. 2009 June 19 at 7:28 pm

    @Jessiee: Actually….I think Pap’s agent should be calling him stat and explaining something about PR and when to STFU. He should be reminded to avoid questions about 2011 until 2011.

    I want to say I am hopeful the Sox will work something out with Pap, but I’m not. I think it will all depend on how far and deep the Sox go into the post season in the next two years….it would be hard to NOT sign Pap if he was the closer on the mound in 2010…if we were to say win the WS. But, if we go home early….lot easier to cut ties and move on to someone else. I still think if Pap is leading the list of elite closers and if the Sox want to make sure the Yanks don’t get him, they might be willing to give him more $ than they really want to. We’ll see. But seriously Pap….STFU. Focus on not WALKING people….instead of where you will be playing in 2011.

    @lone1c: Right now, I’ll be honest….I want to call him Dice-DL.

    @shelley1005: I wouldn’t mind another DL stint for Dice-K.

    However, even IF Dice-K were to end up on the DL again, there is absolutely no guarantee that it would lead to Clay-time. Realistically, we might not see him this year, except for a spot start in a double header or something similar.
