Hey all!! Let’s GO RED SOX! Let’s go B Penny!!!
Sure is quiet here.
Just remembered another junk e-mail account I had, so I did my duty and voted for the Warthog for starting 1B for the All-Star Game.
Where is everybody today?
@fc: I think the heat in Atlanta is permeating the Interwebs and slowing everyone down.
I’m here….kind of hate that I am inside on such a beautiful day, but there is no end to what I am willing to sacrifice for the Sox.
Am I the only one hoping that Hanson’s tummy gets the best of him…and he has to leave the game?
Come on B Penny!!!
Heidi Watney interviewing Jeff Francoeur? That has FAIL written all over it.
@shelley1005: It’s a yucky day here – overcast and humid – but I’d be watching regardless.
Brad? Brad?
@fc: Looks like he’s OK.
Hi everyone!
It’s soooooooooo hot here…it’ll be over 100 today.
:: melts ::
dammmmmmmmmmmmit, Penny.
CRAP. Chipper Jones gets a complete ass-luck HR.
Ugh. I can’t believe that ball made it out of the park.
Brad…get the last out…and let the bats hopefully go to WORK.
whew…thankfully that hooked right.
@lone1c: You sure about that?
YIKES—Penny almost gives up another one.
Bradley. Please. An out.
@fc: Okay, maybe not so much. But he’ll get through it.
That’s better.
@lone1c: Maybe that was just a little reminder that you can never have too much pitching. Brought to you by Brad Penny.
@fc: Ah, I’m not willing to call suck on Brad just yet. He left the mound pissed….so let’s hope that he comes back in the 2nd and beyond the guy we’ve come to know and like the past month or so.
Come on BATS….this guy has the flu…make him feel like it.
Hmm . . . The Braves apparently didn’t get the “infield shift” memo for Ortiz.
@shelley1005: Beckett had something on Friday. That didn’t help the Braves.
Strange play for Varitek—could have gotten a single, though, if he had started out of the gate right away. . . .
@lone1c: You never give up on a pitch. Never.
@lone1c: Yeah, but Becks was sick enough that he had a fever and didn’t come to the ballpark. With this heat, I am hopeful we can get to him….
Tek didn’t know where the ball went….he thought it was behind him. Oops.
@jules: True, but in this instance he didn’t “give up” on the pitch—he couldn’t find where the ball had gone at first and probably figured it had gone foul. By the time he figured out what had happened, it was too late.
“Macs are more about aesthetics instead of computing power…”
Puke.
Those commercials drive me crazy. /total Mac Greek
@lone1c: Good point.
@shelley1005: Huh? I’m talking about Friday’s game, when Beckett shut down the Braves for seven innings, and talked about having some sort of stomach issues the last few innings. . . .
@jules: The guy in that commercial is talking out of his ass. Most professionals who REALLY care about computing power don’t use Windows. They use either Mac or Linux.
Crap. Wow. Not good. Glad players where helmets.
@shelley1005: Agreed. Not good.
@shelley1005: Seriously. /still concussed
Jones robs Penny of a hit?
Paul McCartney at Fenway???
That would be heaven.
@lone1c: Most of the programmers I work with use Linux on their personal boxes. My old PowerBook is six years old and I’ve never had to reinstall the OS due to problems.
@jules: I use a Mac as my “work” box; my PC is my “play” box.
@lone1c: Penny whipped that one. Too bad Chipper caught it, because LMAO.
Lots of a particular four-letter word being used by the Sox today. . . .
@lone1c: I have XP Pro running on VMWare on my Mac and use it for testing and a couple apps that don’t run on Mac.
@lone1c: Too bad “hits” isn’t one of them.
@jules: And on top of that, Macs do have aesthetics. I’m something of a design freak – not at the expense of functionality, but good design adds to the experience for me.
Ohhhh, Papi.
Oh, Papi.
@lone1c: SUCK ? FAIL ?
@fc: Isn’t that true. I have a unibody MacBook Pro and it gets a lot of attention at work. It’s just spectacular to look at, but the power and simple OS is the best thing about it.
Dammmmmit Papi.
OK, Tek! Nice throw!
Nice “bunt.”
Smart play by Varitek to wipe out the lead runner.
@Sam says : Tazawa !!: It rhymes with the first one. . . .
@jules: I have one too. It inspires much love and drooling from others.
@lone1c: Phuck eh ?
@Sam says : Tazawa !!: Yep. Both Penny and Pedey have screamed that on-screen (but without the sound).
