Hello Rainy Boston from Sunny and warm California. I hope we get a game in. It’s been a heck of a week and some Sox baseball always makes the day better.
Lets go Lester!!! (and Nationals, of course ;-)
greeting from the fenway pahk. it’s actually not raining right now. amazing. on demand.
Hey all. Just walked in the door….making some dinner and watching Jonny Lester and hoping the rain stays away long enough to get the game in.
GO SOX!!!
Yep, cool and breezy and beautiful herr. There goes the no hitter.
KK for Les. KKeeping his strikeouts rolling on…
Looks out window. Cannot believe it is not raining at Fenway as it is pouring here. Just back from a heartbreaking season ending loss at the Eastern Conference Youth Soccer Association playoffs – where it was also pouring.
@fc: We finally got a storm front that dumped some actual rain over here. It was nice—temperature dropped in half an hour from the mid-90s to the upper 60’s.
And better to get the no-hit nonsense out of the way quickly. That way Lester can get to work mowing down the Marlins without having to worry about pitching too finely.
God smiles. On Fenway.
glad to see they’re getting the game in
YYYYYYOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOOOOUK
YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUK!
YOUK!!!!
talk about how he hasn’t been hot recently some more!
Eck….keep talking about Sox players being in slumps….it seems to bring them luck at the plate.
@shelley1005: LOL, Shelly, that’s funny.
dammmmmmmmmmmmmit
Pouts…..we take the lead….and giveth it away.
So I’m writing a list of interview questions. Is it appropriate to ask a candidate their favorite baseball team? To weed out the Yankee fans, ya know. heeheee
dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmit. again.
Umm…Les. Could ya quit it?
evidently i am running behind…
knowing it was coming did not make it any more fun
OK, bats…your turn. Let’s get the lead back.
Lester gets in a little trouble, but gets out….come on Les…hunker down and hopefully wait for your bats to give you the lead back.
LOLOLOLOL!!!!!! Eck’s baseball card!!!!!
The HAIR!!!!!!!!
That was too easy.
ugh.
@jules: Yes, those pics of Eck’s hair were hilarious. I’ll take the 80s one…it was the 80s, but it’s not like it got much better in the 90s.
Lester is maintaining right now, but his pitch count is ridiculous. Let’s hope the bats can come alive and give the brother some H-E-L-P!
Freddy Lynn is here [moist eyes].
@shelley1005: The 80s Eck was great. Epic hair.
Lester’s pitch count is way too high. I hope our bats come alive.
Eck’s discussion of cool and rain wear is cracking me up.
@fc: soooooo envious!
Even Les’ 1-2-3 inning seemed like it took forever.
BATS….come on! Let’s get things started.
We’ll take luck. Papi is on base, no outs. LOL.
Marlinfail
And kids…that’s why you NEVER give up on a hit.
Ask the Mets about routine plays.
RUNS! We do not want to be behind with this rain.
WAH! I’m Fred Lynn deprived! I’m watching the Nats beat the Yanks on MASN. HAHAHA!
Rain delay….which honestly, should have been called a while ago. I foresee a called game in the future.
If we lose, blame it on the rain.
The Nats just won again. The MASN guys are in shock!
Yankees lose. WOOO
Alas, my buds have given up on the game. Smarter than me.
Just stopping by. Actually may have hung out with you folks earlier had I not been without power until about 9:30 tonight (in the wake of one HELL of a line of storms this afternoon — my end of town is littered with exploded trees). And now…an endless rain delay for our boys. The radar looks like it should be a total no-go. The Powers That Be are pretty stubborn, no?
It’ll be interesting to see what ends up happening, but me, I’m not waiting it out. Must.Go.To.Bed. See you good people tomorrow night, when I will FINALLY be on vacation!
@fc: you are still at the fenway? I’m home already. don’t think they are going to play out. :((
On my way home now. They called just when the rain stopped. GrrrrrrF
