    Hey y’all!!!!

Smoltz interview on NESN…I soooooooooo can’t wait for tomorrow. I booked my calendar at work so I wouldn’t get sucked into a late meeting and miss the beginning of the game.

I hope Lester kicks ass tonight.

LOL…Smoltz mad at Kotsay for spreading rumors about what games he’s good at. (when asked about playing cribbage)

I’ll actually be in Atlanta tomorrow night and am hoping that the game is available on local cable, just as it is regionally down here.

My computer is behaving but this page is loading slowly again, dagnabit.

    @ecl1958: :: jealous ::

But seriously, good for you! Will this be your first time seeing the Sox in person? You will have a blast!

@Liza: That’s a life-goal for me: go to every ball park, but it’ll take a while (my hubby and I have talked about doing that when we retire).

@Liza: @jules: I’m very, VERY excited — these will be my first major league games, period. We’ve got decent seats along the third base line, and I am so looking forward to seeing my boys IN PERSON, y’all!

Sorry for the delay in reply…I’m trying to pack and the page is loading slowly. Double whammy!

@ecl1958: First games EVER!?!?!?!?!?! That’s great! You’ll have so much fun. By third base? Near Mikey??? :: swooooooooon ::

You’ll also have a great view of Youk’s batting stance (it’s hilarious from the third base side).

    (sorry for punctuation abuse ;-)

  18. 2009 June 24 at 7:21 pm

@ecl1958: Enjoy it. I haven’t been to the new stadium but I’ve been to some games in Atlanta. I’m a big fan of the nightlife there though.

    @Ian: Hi Ian!

Hey batters…run the pitch counts up and get to the bullpen asap.

  20. 2009 June 24 at 7:22 pm

Texy i had tons of people asking me if the Longhorns had won it all at the golf tournament today.

@Sam says : Tazawa !!: Even without the walk-off, Greenie >>>>>> Lugo on defense. That play last night was epic. Green has better range and a cannon for an arm. He had quite a few errors at first, but he’s improved a lot.

    NO KILLING OUR SHORTSTOP.

    Oh god. That was scary.

  27. 2009 June 24 at 7:30 pm

Oh my….no one can blame Greenie for that. How did he avoid that bat?

  28. 2009 June 24 at 7:30 pm

damn bats. Something has to be done before someone gets hurt.

@jules: Yep, first games ever. Biggest thing I’ve seen prior to this was one AAA game, and other than that, just single-A here in Asheville.

We’re in the 200 section, so not too far up. I checked the view and it’s pretty good. The batting stances should be lots of fun to watch. And Mikey. I’m hoping to have a good view of my dear JBay too.

@Ian: Thanks — I’m not sure how much energy I’ll have for the nightlife after dealing with the heat, but I do know that I’ll have fun regardless.

  30. 2009 June 24 at 7:31 pm

    DO NOT KILL GREENIE

  31. 2009 June 24 at 7:31 pm

Holy crap. that’s scary. the bat was stuck in the ground.

@jules: That’s because Green had only played 23 games at SS over something like 6 years. (He’s normally a 2B.)

    Strikes Les…Outs.

  38. 2009 June 24 at 7:34 pm

Without the bat as a weapon…Greenie has no problem with the DP.

  44. 2009 June 24 at 7:36 pm

  50. 2009 June 24 at 7:41 pm

I gotta admit..I love Lester at bat….it’s a comedy of errors.
