    Hey all.

Who is Matt Weiters? How dare you even ask????

  2. 2009 June 29 at 7:03 pm

Who in the hell asked who Matt Wieters is? That’s crazy talk.

  3. 2009 June 29 at 7:06 pm

@Texy: It was on the NESN pregame show….people talking about “Who Matt Weiters is” and getting to know the new guy on the good ol’ Orioles block.

    Silly rabbits…

  4. 2009 June 29 at 7:09 pm

JD Drew. Love. That is all.

The rightful order of things: Pedey is back in the 2-hole.

    SNOWFLAKE!!!

  7. 2009 June 29 at 7:11 pm

Pedey likes being out of that leadoff spot, eh? Me likey. Sox up 1-0.

  8. 2009 June 29 at 7:11 pm

    Thanks Pedey.

Eck is funny—he thinks Pedey would willingly stay out of the lineup.

    ELF!!!!

Haha, Youk can outrun a DP throw.

    Hey all!

    What a day.

Yay for JD! and Youk running out the DP.

It’s 107 out today and my daughter wants me to walk to the school to help her practice setting. Sooooo not happening after this day.

  12. 2009 June 29 at 7:19 pm

What’s with this double play malarky?

@fc: Youk has some wheels. He doesn’t have style using his wheels, but that’s not such a big deal.

  14. 2009 June 29 at 7:20 pm

Another way the Sox are better than the Mets…our 2nd baseman can catch routine pop ups. Shakes head at the suck that is the Mets.

@shelley1005: I was playing Guitar Hero with my daughter when my husband comes in, “How bad are the Mets??? K-Rod walked Mariano for a run!” That is the suck.

@shelley1005: I had the misfortune of watching last night’s EPIC FAIL. It was the most depressing baseball game I’ve seen in my life—on both sides. The Yankees only really got ONE RUN against a AAA Mets lineup.

    TOTAL, TOTAL FAIL.

    LOL Wieters.

Kotssay with the hit. I’m glad we have him.

  19. 2009 June 29 at 7:29 pm

@jules: Yeah…I said at work today that I could band together a bunch of coworkers to play and we could probably beat the Mets. It is the horrible horrible suck. And yeah, watching K Rod walk Mo…was ridiculous. What is even worse is that the defense of Castillo not catching a pop up AGAIN…put K Rod in that situation to begin with.

@lone1c: YEah, I saw it too. I see most Yankees games….and I was wishing and hoping for the Mets. The Yankees were given that win and they scored all their runs on defensive errors. A Yankee fan at work was saying that it showed Wang was back and ready to compete. Umm…no…it showed he could beat the Mets. Ugh.

How dare that ball not fall into Wieters glove? I think that ball is possessed by the devil.

  20. 2009 June 29 at 7:29 pm

KOTS!! Whoo hoo! I love the creeper…

@shelley1005: The ball is more terrified of Serial Killer than Wieters.

  22. 2009 June 29 at 7:30 pm

@shelley1005: Matt Wieters cannot beat the devil??

  23. 2009 June 29 at 7:31 pm
    lone1c permalink

@shelley1005: It didn’t even show that. It showed he could beat a AAA lineup. He looked absolutely awful. If he was facing an AL lineup, he’d have been down six runs after two innings.

@shelley1005: i was watching the game, but gave up on it. The Mets were gawdaweful and the ESPN Yankee worship was nauseating.

  25. 2009 June 29 at 7:33 pm

WHOO HOO ELLS! Ells stole off of Wieters? Be careful Ells…the sky might open up on ya.

WHAT !? Matt Wieters did not get Jacoby out ?

    Hello all.

  30. 2009 June 29 at 7:37 pm

@lone1c: Yep. I am happy to see Alex Cora starting, but you know the season is not going to plan when Cora is not your utility guy. I feel bad for the Mets…and Mets fans because they are just being hit and then hit while they are down. What even sucked more…is that the Mets had a chance to win yesterday….with even as bad as they are.

I am going to Fenway next Saturday and if the rotation holds and I can count…it looks like Smoltzie will be on the mound. Me likey.

    @shelley1005:

no need to feel sorry for the Mets, they got Papelbons only blown save and then lost 5 out of 6 to the yanks, including the Castillo play.

  32. 2009 June 29 at 7:40 pm

    KK for Les. Me likey.

God speed and healthy thoughts for Mikey Lowell. Stop saying DL…la la la la la…can’t hear you!

not really, they had Beltran but not much more. The great Omir Santos taking Papelbon deep.

  35. 2009 June 29 at 7:43 pm

@lone1c: Word. The Mets couldn’t even compete with the Yanks. It would have been embarrassing if they didn’t sweep the god awful Mets…with the shell of a team they send out there day in and day out.

K Rod walking Mo….now that is even a new level of embarrassment. Sheesh.

  37. 2009 June 29 at 7:46 pm

Cripes I hate having to watch the O’s broadcast….Jim Palmer hates the Sox and his partner (Gary Thorne) is an idiot who couldn’t keep his job at ESPN once they dropped the NHL.

Thorne just called Pedey a “real dirtbag player” and meant it as a compliment. Dirt Dog mighta been nicer. :)

  41. 2009 June 29 at 7:49 pm

@Sam says : Tazawa !!: Really? When I think of true elite closers….Mo, Pap and K Rod. I think K Rod has great stuff.
