    Hey peoples!

    It’s FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

    :: does happy dance ::

    I’ll be working at home this weekend to catch up, but oh well.

    Great news to hear Mikey is feeling better.

    Howdy, all!

  4. 2009 July 10 at 7:07 pm

    Hi Sox fans! Let’s hope we don’t do the unthinkable and lose another game to the stinkin’ KC Royals. I know it’s FAILHAT friday and all, but Jon Lester and his yellow glove will battle it and I know he will come out triumphant.

    Let’s GO LESTER! Let’s GO RED SOX!!!

    And…it’s 24 hours til my first live and in person Fenway game. I could NOT be more excited.

    Wow, that Lester message was powerful. Lets hope he brings it tonight.

    I feel like Lester can’t do wrong at all- even when he has the worst starts, everyone just loves him.

    @shelley1005: HOORAY!

    After watching the Cardinals kick some ass today, the perfect ending would be to see Lester and the BoSox take on the Royals. However, no such luck and I’ll be watching from GameDay Live as always. *sigh*

    Best of luck anyways! I’ll be cheering from Chicago!

    I’m hating on my cable company because instead of broadcasting this game they’re broadcasting orioles@bluejays… On the other hand, I’m loving MLB.tv because they gave me a free trial so I get to see it there :)

    @shelley1005: First one?! That’s great. I remember seeing the field for the first time–breathtaking. (of course, I’ve only been to one game, but will remember it forever)

    just be lucky you didn’t go to the game last night. My in game record is down to 6-1 this season.

  11. 2009 July 10 at 7:13 pm

    @Texy: @jules: Yep, first one. I’ve seen thousands on tv…but never made the trek to Fenway. This year, I was hell bent I would go at least once. I am seriously considering going to Yankee Stadium for one of the Boston games in August. I will make my decision when I get back….and see if I can swing it…and try to troll my way around to finding some cheap tickets.

    Alright Lester…..settle down….strikes.

    @Adam: First of all, 6-1 is not bad. Second, you’ve gotten to go to SEVEN games? I’m so jealous!!

    Jon is sporting yellow cleats tonight.

  14. 2009 July 10 at 7:14 pm

    @Adam: I would still have liked to be there. You were there when Papi hit his 300th. And…until a point, it was a good game. Bard must have been fun to watch.

    @jules: He was supposed to have a yellow glove as well, but apparently doesn’t according to Ian’s twitter. (I’m watching on gameday only).

    Too bad.

    @shelley1005:

    generally when they blow a 4-0 lead, I don’t put it in “good game” class. Although I did sit first row behind the sox bullpen, and watching Bard warmup was my highlight of the game.

  20. 2009 July 10 at 7:17 pm

    @Avery: No yellow glove…just a yellow Nike swish on his glove.

    @bally: I haven’t had much more than that, but no matter — I’m psyched for a good game tonight!

  22. 2009 July 10 at 7:18 pm

    @bally: Hey, bally! I didn’t realize you were starsandsons over on tumblr. I’m cornerinfielder. :)

  23. 2009 July 10 at 7:19 pm

    @shelley1005: I suppose a yellow swoosh is better than no yellow at all.

    The yellow cleats are kinda cool.

  24. 2009 July 10 at 7:20 pm

    So, Mets switched Church for FAILCOEUR. Interesting….

  25. 2009 July 10 at 7:21 pm

    @shelley1005: Here was my reaction to that:

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA – METSFAIL

  26. 2009 July 10 at 7:21 pm

    @Mac: Ahahahaha I had no idea! I was like, I really like this cornerinfielder person. And it’s you! Amazing.

    @ecl1958: Yeah, I’m very psyched for NOT losing to the Royals. I was on the receiving end of much taunting from a Yanks fan last night.

    @Texy:

    they both aren’t any good, and Manuel hated Church.

  30. 2009 July 10 at 7:25 pm

    @Texy: Yep…seriously. It seems the Mets are content to make every single mistake possible….and to continue their suck. I think they are in some weird bet…where they win if they maximize their crazy suckage.

    I heard the Sox contacted Toronto about Halladay….it had better not happen.

    Let me just say, I do not like JD as a leadoff hitter. I don’t know a better solution….but he has said he’ll hit anywhere, but he doesn’t like leadoff.

  31. 2009 July 10 at 7:26 pm

    @Sam says : Tazawa !!: I don’t know- I actually consider Francoeur to be worth negative. So it’s like they paid someone to take Church.

    So I had this little piece of something on my laptop that fit into the scorebox on gameday and made it look like the sox had already scored a run. So I just fluttered about trying to figure out how that happened. Now I feel stupid.

    @shelley1005: Theo wouldn’t be doing his job if he didn’t at least check things out…kick the tires to see what’s up. He’s shown his reluctance in giving up youth, so Clay should be fine ;-)

  34. 2009 July 10 at 7:29 pm

    @bally: Ahahah, it’s an awesome…what’s the word I’m looking for? Coincidence? I dunno, but that’s cool. (Plus, you’ve posted some Springsteen stuf, which is always ace in my book.)

  35. 2009 July 10 at 7:29 pm

    @Mac: That should be “stuff,” not “stuf.” I fail at spelling.

  36. 2009 July 10 at 7:30 pm

    @jules: My brain says that….but my brain also says, it’s Roy Halladay and people might be willing to go crazy to get him. I say…we put some kind of spell on Toronto and try to get them to give us Doc for Penny and Lugo. Seems like a fair exchange, eh?

    @shelley1005: You mean Lugo and Daisuke? If you can conjure up a spell like that, I’ll pay you to come up with one to make the project manager from hell go away ;-)

    It’s Doc, for sure, but the Jays are expecting a LOT in return. The deal would have to *start* with Buchholz.

    Damn, Nick has a cannon.

  39. 2009 July 10 at 7:36 pm
