It IS Alive!
I’m alive! I swear! I have not been carted off by angry torch-wielding mobs of Smoltz fans (they have those in St. Louis, right?), nor did I run away to become an alpaca-shearer on Billy Wagner’s farm.
The story behind my absence is all rather simple in its sadness: I’ve been busy. That’s one of the downfalls of running this here interwebz site by myself while trying to maintain both a 70-80 hour workweek job and a functioning social life: sometimes I am neglectful of CF. This tends to happen when work and social obligations both conspire to become overwhelming at exactly the same time, such as these past 2 weeks. I know, I know – you’re all playing a tiny little violin for me right now. That’s why I have the best readers in all the land: you stick with me even when I disappear like Brad Penny’s meatball pitching. (Seriously- the NL spins all Sox straw into gold, those bastards.)
The good news is: a little break goes a long way towards recharging my batteries anyway, so the time off doesn’t go to waste. I have been storing up post ideas like a squirrel hoarding nuts for winter. And, yes, I promise to give a full and complete report on all the goings-on at Josh Beckett’s afterparty last night. Hint: it involves Jason Varitek in a cowboy hat. How’s that for a mental image?

Tek in a cowboy hat??? Pictures STAT. Was he wearing real cowboy boots?? ;)
It’s lovely to see you around here again. Very much looking forward to those posts!
I was wondering where the heck you wandered off to!
*Is interested, very interested*
Nice to see you back!
Texy, you can’t just tease us like that and leave us hanging!!! Welcome back. I was wondering why it was so quiet around here. Can’t wait to see the pics.
Texy, I was wondering where you were. Afterparty pictures will so make up for the lack of posts.
Welcome back.
