I was at a Red Sox/Oakland game this season and some guy a few rows from me apparently was a friend of Papelbon’s and Paps came over to give him a hug. I RAN down there and was about to pretend to be random stranger’s girlfriend just so I could say hi. Paps just gave me an odd look. I asked stranger if I could touch were Paps had touched him and, when he didn’t respond, I just did it. That’s how my meeting with a Red Sox player would go. :)

Oh, and I had the idiot vs. regret moment once in an elevator with Colin Hay (lead singer from Men at Work).
