Yes.

Sweet, sweet relief.

Turns out, this wasn't his curtain call after all...

Now on to getting the other Mike resigned...

I heard and promptly screamed and did a Pap WE-JUST-WON-THE-WORLD-SERIES-type jump. I'm so happy.

We're going to have virtually the same lineup--and roster, even--as the end of 2007. It's going to be so much fun, though, because everything's gonna be better. :D

Same here - I jumped up and screamed and frightened the guys who work for me. Then I gave them all raises. (Not really but would if I could.)

CAN IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS?

HOOOOOOORAY!

Also, I'm a bit disturbed by the proximity of Mikey to John Kerry in the picture above.

I spilled boiling tea all over my keyboard when I heard, and I didn't even mind. Now I can go out and buy my Lowell jersey. Yay.

-and really. John Kerry?

Can he possibly have any idea how we feel?

I'm so happy about Mikey, but why is John Kerry there? After his "Manny Ortiz" remark in '04 he doesn't deserve to go to any Sox games, never mind front row by the dugout during the WS...well maybe he deserves upper bleachers, as far in from the aisle as possible when we play the Royals. Or Conig's Corner hahaha.

Apparently Mike is even more awesome that we thought. He left a whole mess of money on the table. The Phillies offered him 4 years - 50 million.

So he got his fourth year and said "screw it, I'm stayign in Boston"

Now to FINALLY go add a picture to MY Lowell blog entry (not yours this time, Texas Gal) sicne my internet is working temporarily.
