You know the whole rumor about him possibly accepting arbitration, I think that he thought about it because of not pride but because of other things. In other words, I think it's because he's one of the 11 named in the Mitchell Report(which is coming out sometime next week I believe). I wouldn't be shocked, but I betcha that's why because he thought he may not get any better of a deal. But I guess in the end, he just didn't but still I think that was a reason why.
Ugh. Wouldn't it suck to be him, though, in that situation? All of New England hates you majorly and then the rest of the world thinks/knows you used steroids.
lets hope arod's on that report too. that article made me really mad yesterday about him and the sad part is its his own people. bye gagne. i backed you when all those dodger's fans said you were an steroids. to bad it may turn out to be true....sad.
-Made the late innings a weak point instead of a strength
-Made the division race dangerously close instead of a runaway
-Made it impossible for the Sox to win 100 games
-Repeatedly equated Sox baseball with hockey in Canada
-Imploded during his only high-leverage playoff appearance
-Vultured a World Series ring and win share almost as badly as Royce Clayton did
-Sucked so bad he became a Type B free agent instead of a Type A, costing the Sox a draft pick
Quite the resume. Au revoir, monsieur, and good riddance.
Let's not forget
-Earned the honor of being the only guy on the entire roster that I can't stand, and that's even including Joel Pineiro and Wily Mo Pena
Piney: If his name is on the Mitchell list, I will not be surprised
