Okey & Randy

In one of the oddest pairings since, well, the Odd Couple: Hideki Okajima and Randy Johnson teamed up for a Phiten/MLB press conference in Tokyo a few weeks ago. According to the photo wire, "An agreement has been reach[ed] for Phiten to produce MLB authorized official health care goods to be used by 30 clubs across the US."

I'm not sure what the Big Unit and Okey Dokey talked about - but since the press conference produced this awesome photo, it had to have been interesting (to say the least):

More photos of Okey & Randy, after the jump.

Oki is just adorable. I tell you, these extras we have gotten, first Lowell then Oki, not to shabby:)

Okaji is alarmingly adorable. And it may rub off--those are actually some of the best photos of RJ I've ever seen!

I say all the time that I've loved Okaji since Theo's press conference annuncing his signing, where Theo reported that he was in Boston and had eaten every lobster in the Greater Boston area. ^_^ And I also loved the story his wife told during the season of being in a cab and having the driver tell them all about how much he loved the Sox, and Daisuke and Okajima in particular. oblivious to Okaji's identity! (Okaji kept telling his wife, in Japanese, "Don't tell him who I am!")

Don't get me started on Phiten and their "authorized official health care goods" though...

Oh, I love Okie. He has got to be the cutest, most eager underdog/"throw-in" there ever was, and that includes even Lowell. Shame his roster picture makes him look like he's made of plastic...

My favorite description of Okie, ever, is from that SI commemorative 2007 Red Sox book: "so good he doesn't even need to look where he's pitching."

Oki looks legitimately snazzy in his suit. And Randy looks disturbingly young.
