D-Train Hearts Mike Lowell

Dontrelle Willis, newly signed to the Detroit Tigers (gulp! the '08 Tigers scare me more than a little bit) appeared on WDFN last week to talk about all kinds of stuff - and portions of the interview were reprinted in the Detroit Free Press. I love me some D-Train, crazy antics and all (how could you not heart a pitcher with that insane throwing motion?)- but there was one little throwaway line in there that really made me smile.

Where do you get your energy from?

Aw, man, I have no idea. I'm just very appreciative of the opportunity. I know how hard this game is and I think I've been very blessed to play with some guys that play the game the right way like Juan Pierre, Mike Lowell, Jeff Conine, Todd Jones and like I said, Pudge Rodriguez to steer me the right way. Guys are very appreciative. Obviously you can see their work ethic and how they go about their business.

Everybody hearts Mike Lowell- it's just an undeniable fact of life.

How can you not *heart* Mike Lowell?

My Mom is not watching the Sox, just because of Mikey. She calls him Clooney. ha.

My daughter will officially hate Theo if he trades Jacoby ;-).

Well, maybe not. But I certainly won't heart him.

I *heart* D-train too. Wish he was coming to the Sox. He has a great club house presence.
