Oh, Hank

I see Hank is picking up right where his dad left off:

Don't make any mistake about it: Our team in the late 90s beat everybody, and we beat everybody because we were that much better than everybody. And they had just as many players doing stuff - all the teams. I guarantee you go through every team in baseball, and they all have the same basic percentage of players doing stuff. They just weren't as good as us. You think the Red Sox didn't have players doing stuff back then? Give me a [expletive] break. They just weren't as good as us, and neither was anybody else.
Classy. Apparently, slinging around unfounded accusations is all the rage in New York these days. I'm not saying that he's necessarily wrong- you'd have to be super naive to think there's no chance of something like that happening in Boston. But it's bush league to throw around steroid accusations like that to the media without an ounce of proof to back up your bluster-- especially considering he, of all people, knows precisely what kind of damage is caused by steroids hysteria.

Oh, screw you, Hank. This is the epitome of attempting to throw someone else into the spike pit to throw suspicion off of you.

Wow. You know, I'm hardly a fan of the Yankees myself, but I'm a little shocked at the level of aggression in that statement. That's like... anger on a crazy level, because there's really no logical reason for him to lash out like that in this context. He's just being mean and angry because he's a mean and angry person.

Kind of defensive, too, I think.

And to single out the Red Sox too. I love the fantasy the Yanks fans have that somehow the Sox were never serious contenders, that they were always supreme, because clearly the Sox really get under Hank's skin.

Also, I think the allegation of the same percentage of players---I personally don't buy that. Sorry. I don't.

So...

Kiss my gay-marrying, Fenway-loving, Sox-believing, r-dropping, tea-dumping, over-educated and morally superior Bostonian ass, Hank. You've got nothing but a heap of clean-cut closet case chokers these days and you know it. Go back to throwing your billions into your little dynasty and let the grown-ups go back to enjoying baseball, you classless scumbag.

Wow, that felt really good.

Wow, sorry I myself became a little hostile there. Amazing what a week of being told your team doesn't deserve to be in the Superbowl because they are "disgusting, talentless cheaters" will do to your temper.

Especially given the content.

Sorry y'all (HA I said y'all)-- mea culpa, mea culpa. I love you all still, promise.

Oh man, I still feel bad. Again--sorry... Typing can get away from you sometimes. I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Margaret: That was awesome! Don't apologize. I have to remember this and use it when necessary.

I love it!

I agree with Kim--bravo, bravo, Margaret!

Also, I don't quite hate many people in baseball--but Hank just earned himself a place of honor right up there with Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, and Scott Boras. Congrats, "George W." Steinbrenner, I hate you.

No apologies necessary. I don't like comments like "OMG he izzzz so hotttt!!1!" or "Boston sucks!" (hell, even "Yankees suck!" - be original).

But a passioned point of view is perfectly fine.

Yeah, "Yankees suck" didn't quite cover it.
