Play Ball

I have been on the hunt for awhile now for that "Play Ball" song that is used both at Fenway Park (played over the PA after the kid-of-the-day hollers "PLAY BALL" really loudly into the mic) and also on the Red Sox Report (as the opening and closing theme song). I have yet to figure out who the artist is- no one seems to know- or to find a full-length version of the song.

Did you find it yet? I'm trying to find it for you as well. I should know this song, we used to play it at our stadium in New Haven.

So if you figure out who sings it or (even better) where to get the full version, you'd be a hero.

I've got good news and bad news.

The bad news is that it was only available on a promotional baseball CD.

The good news is that I still have friends in baseball who might be able to provide me with a copy.

PS I got home today? And on my front door was the package I mailed you on DECEMBER 14TH. It never got to you and I don't know WHY there's no explanation just that it didn't go through? I'm sorry I seriously did send it for xmas!!!

Did anyone else go to the rookie/prospects autograph signing today? I went! I still have stars in my eyes... and videos now on my computer. :D

By the way, Texy, Clay was wearing--count 'em--FIVE necklaces. That's what it looked like, anyway. I was too exited as I was there to count and the pictures are blurry because my hand was shaking...

No shel that's not the same song. The link I have for the song is the same clip that Texy has here. I have a few emails out to my friends that still work in the minor leagues to see if any one has it. The problem is most music is done through the computer now so they have to search their press box computers.
