Red Sox vs. Northeastern (s/s)
6:05 pm
City of Palms Park - Ft. Myers
SP: Justin Masterson
tv/radio: WEEI

The Red Sox 2008 season opens today - if by "opens", you mean "playing on a baseball diamond against two collegiate teams in games that neither count towards the regular season record, nor even count towards the spring training Grapefruit League record (or even spring training statistics)". Still - it's BAYSBAWL, and the first baseball of the year for Sox fans at that.

Game One vs. BC won't be on TV or radio anywhere - but I put a link to the boxscore above, so you can follow along through the box. Game Two will be on WEEI.

Use the comments to this entry as your own personal Gameday open thread. I figure it would be fun for everyone to have a place to discuss the games in progress this season.

58 degrees and sunny - and Josh has already mowed down the first 6 batters, with 4 strikeouts.

[ Texas Gal ] says:

Youk gets the first hit of 2008 - and Lowell scores the first run of 2008. The Sox have opened up a can of whoopass, scoring 8 runs in the bottom of the 2nd.

All the starters have left - included Beckett, who has been replaced by Snyder. Only captain Tek remains.

nice to see beckett still in post-season '07 form. if we project those numbers out he's a mortal lock for the cy. eee. ;D (i know, i know, tiny sample, but still!)

[ Abby ] says:

I wish NESN would televise this...how come they can air semi-boring workouts but not actual games?

Looks like it was a good outing for Pedroia today!

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 1:10 PM

Dusty P drove in two ribbies on a double with 2 outs on the board - very nice.

I love that they have Kotteras DH-ing.

And jenny- I am totally fine with prematurely awarding Beckett the Cy Young right now. I see no problem with that!

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 1:12 PM

I would feel bad for the Cadoret kid, BC pitcher - with this stat line:

Boston College IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA
Cadoret 0.2 5 8 6 5 0 0 81.00

JESUS! An 81.00 ERA after only 2/3 of an inning? Except it's an exhibition game, so it doesn't hurt him in his stats at all - and he'll get to tell his grandkids that some of the great Sox players drilled him.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 1:12 PM

It's SO exciting that they are actually playing baseball in 2008. My heart is relieved and revived. Go Sox!!

[ Abby ] says:
on February 28, 2008 1:27 PM

The only time we might ever see Kottaras PH-ing for Papi too.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 1:30 PM

And pinch running!

It is cool to see the baby prospects names on the box. Van Every is in the outfield!

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 1:47 PM

It's official: this whole "game not being on TV or MLB.TV or radio" thing really sucks. And the box score page not being updated for almost an hour? Also sucks. /whinewhinewhine

[ jules ] says:
on February 28, 2008 2:08 PM

Goodness, I wish I was there and not stuck in meetings *all* day long. Thanks for the update.

PS: At least tomorrow's game is on NESN--can't wait for that.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 2:13 PM

It's 22-0 Red Sox. Extra Bases and the Courant blog have been providing updates.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 2:22 PM

The WEEI site has updates on the game, and others around the league, too.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 2:24 PM

24-0. Final.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 2:28 PM

I was just coming in to post that. SHELLACKING. And you might think- "Hey, they're a college team." But the Mets lost to Michigan on Tuesday.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 2:43 PM

Mets actually tied the Wolverines 4-4. Most runs the Red Sox had scored against BC was 22 in 1996.

[ Meg ] says:
on February 28, 2008 2:45 PM

Way to go Javy, giving up the hit!:-P I wish I could have seen the grand slam.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 2:50 PM

I know! Good for Tony! Except he also got an error. Ack.

[ mhcranberry ] says:
on February 28, 2008 2:55 PM

As a BU grad student I am pleased by the team's humiliation of the reviled BC Eagles.

Go Terriers.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 2:57 PM

I wonder if the hit Javy gave up was to a lefty.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 3:00 PM

Nope- surprisingly. It was Eric Campbell - a righty (and a Connecticut boy).

[ Meg ] says:
on February 28, 2008 3:01 PM

Nope, a righty: http://bceagles.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/campbell_eric00.html

That's kinda encouraging, I guess:-P

[ Meg ] says:
on February 28, 2008 3:02 PM

Texas Gal- you beat me! Sorry for the double post:-P

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 3:05 PM

No worries. I will forgive you... THIS TIME.

Hee! Seriously - in open threads, sometimes people are going to post the same thing twice in a row. No big deal at all.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 3:26 PM

You have to love Beckett. First day of throwing in a game and he's already talking about executing pitches.

[Facing a college team] I’m out there trying to do everything I can. It doesn’t matter. You’re out there trying to execute pitches. It doesn’t matter who you’re facing, doesn’t matter if it’s a media game, a college team or facing big league hitters. I told somebody that today, I’m not going to let them hit it. It doesn’t matter. I’m out there trying to do my job. My job right now is to get in shape for the season. If I’m out there facing a college team and I’m messing around, I might take that into another game. That’s not what I’m trying to do.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 3:29 PM

I agree with you Meg it is kind of encouraging to see the hit was to a righty. Shocking though that it wasn't a lefty ;)

Good to see a Connecticut boy represent and get a hit. I can't wait to listen tonight and hear how Masterson pitches.

[ Liza ] says:
on February 28, 2008 3:47 PM

I got home from school and the game was over. As sad as I am that I didn't get to see Ellsbury, Beckett, Kielty, Granadillo, and especially Moss (3-for-3! I love the guy), I am glad Masterson's starting the game at 6 (love him too). And that it'll be on the radio.

But HOORAY--we officially have GAMES to follow! I'm so excited!

[ Lyndsay ] says:
on February 28, 2008 4:19 PM

24-0??? awwww! poor BC. they should have applied the mercy rule...

to the sox it must have reminded them of every game against the Orioles (sorry, Kevin...)
I'm a little concerned that Ellsbury didn't get any hits in a 24-0 blowout.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:06 PM

Moved this post up to the top of the page for the game. Yay, radio!

[ Liza ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:18 PM

RA-DI-O! :)

I have no life so I'm recording every pitch. Masterson threw 7 pitches, 6 strikes, in the first. Two ground outs and a swinging K so far.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:20 PM

Right here with you -- baseball is back!

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:24 PM

Nice to know Masterson did so well (just college kids though). Dougie having a long AB right now

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:25 PM

And tomorrow night we get golden nuggets from the RemDawg and his sidekick Donnie Boy.

[ Dionysus ] says:

I'll be at work.. and after that the next few games arent broadcast on MLB.tv becasue the Gods hate me

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:29 PM

Wow,that was a HARD single. Quite a crack.

DP! WOOTS!

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:31 PM

I love that you can hear those sounds so clearly on radio - on TV, those ambient sounds often get lost behind the sound of the broadcasters talking.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:34 PM

I had it when broadcasters chat soemtimes. I ESPECIALLY hate cuts to them on the tv. I dont CARE what my broadcasters look like. I'd rather have shots of the dugout if nothing is going on.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:36 PM

Ugh. Lowrie got Robbed.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:39 PM

2 out, runner on. And there's the 3rd out - K swinging. 1 LOB. Still 2-0, Sox.

[ Texas Gal ] says:

And Drew and Carter are both out already.

[ Dionysus ] says:

I wish we could SEE him. Hansen holds my big hopes for breaking out with the team this season.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:54 PM

That sounds pretty good TG, I'd just wish I could see how his breaking stuff was moving. Still. I'm gonna le tmy hopes rise a bit.

Casey walks!

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:56 PM

Casey can do no wrong with me. He could commit 3 errors and strike out 4 times in a game, and I fear I'd just look at his grin and not care.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:58 PM

Dougie, you gotta make a big showing here if you dont want people to start talking MORE about how they want you replaced. Dougie Ks, but Carter doubles! Lowrie time!

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 5:59 PM

Hey, guys - that wasn't Mirabelli with the 2B, that was Carter.

They said Carter was substituted out earlier, but I guess not.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:00 PM

[ starr4 ] says:

OW Michael Bowden is in now!!! Excellent.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:07 PM

I could not have said it better, Dionysus.

I went to weei's website - but I'm only hearing commercials right now, so I'm not sure if I'll hear the game or not.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:08 PM

Out number one for Bowden, pop to out.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:09 PM

Nope - as I feared, no live game on weei.com.

Why in the WORLD are they doing "maintenance" on MLB's audio feature during games? I think "maintenance" is code for "something is fucked up".

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:09 PM

0-2 pitch, ball one

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:10 PM

2. Missed that Dusty Brown was in the game!!! Hearts to him.

3. 2-0 for Brown

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:18 PM

Walk for Brown, bases loaded.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:19 PM

Seriously.. this maintence stuff is unmitigated bullshit

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:19 PM

Dusty is definitely a new favorite of mine. Glad to see he's added to his OBP. I mean, if these stats mattered.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:20 PM

Joe C. discussing base coaches wearing helmets.
Carter at bat, 2-2 count.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:21 PM

I seriously think their server got overloaded, and the application stopped working. I don't think it has anything to do with actual "maintenance". Nice job, MLB - as always. If you didn't place blackout rules on WEEI, we could just listen to it through their website.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:21 PM

Bad throw to first, fielders choice, 4-6, pass at home, 1 run scored.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:21 PM

I read something about that today, starr - I think on Bradford. The coaches hate having to wear the helmets.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:21 PM

8-0, but I think I missed an out, cause Carter's on second. Sorry.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:22 PM

Theyve had gameday ausio for several season now.. youd think theyd have situations like this wrapped up

[ Liza ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:22 PM

Sox pitchers' summary, as of the bottom of the 4th:

Masterson:
2 IP
16 pitches
12 strikes
3 ground outs (1 DP)
1 fly out
1 K (swinging)
1 single (no other hits)

Hansen:
1 IP
14 pitches
11 strikes
1 ground out
2 Ks (one swinging, one--well, my radio chose THAT moment to fizz out.)
1 single

Bowden:
1 IP
11 pitches
6 strikes
1 pop up
1 ground out
1 K (swinging)

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:23 PM

Well, the helmets are heavier, and I have to guess, way, way hotter in the summer.

Lowrie on with single, Carter on third.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:24 PM

Even for those of us who can listen on the radio, the signal has cut out a few times, as Liza points out.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:25 PM

Ginter out on strikes. 2 outs.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:25 PM

We need to cut these guys slack - radio is a brand new technology after all. It's not like it's been around for a hundred years or anything.

2-0 for Spivey.

on February 28, 2008 6:29 PM

Spivey got a single, Lowrie scored standing up.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:30 PM

I wonder if we're going to need to mercy-rule this one, too. 10-0 in the 4th.

Spivey RBI'ed in another run. Pitching change!

[ starr4 ] says:

Baseball as called by someone emulating Hemingway.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:31 PM

Im still out

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:31 PM

So everyone heard about TBS taking one Sunday game every week this year, right? Two of the first 10 are Sox games - including the first Sunday game against the Jays.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:32 PM

Anyone keeping a scorecard? WEEI wants to know.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:33 PM

Dionysus- are you using MLB Game Audio? Try going here:

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/scoreboard/20080228.html

And select "listen" to one of the other games. I picked the Phillies game from earlier in the day - then when the window opened up, I switched to the Sox game.

"Think anyone at home is actually keeping a scorecard on this game?" US!

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:36 PM

Corsaletti out, retires the side. Top of the 5th! I hope they keep Bowden in a little longer.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:36 PM

FINALLY. I had to download that new silver light thing and then click like ten times, but Im back

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:36 PM

Last season, I only heard games on WEEI and/or gameday cause I refused to get cable. This year, I have cable so I can enjoy the TBS games. Tho' I don't recall them being well called last year. Is my memory impaired?

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:37 PM

I am still listening off of MLB.tv. It's a nice little thing that comes with the Red Sox Nation purchase is that you get MLB audio for free.

If you can get the window up, switch the old player. there new player still has a lot of bugs.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:38 PM

No starr4, you're memory isn't impaired. Chip Caray is the lead announcer for the TBS coverage. I'd expect once the college baseball season is over, Tony Gwynn will be back in the booth with him.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:38 PM

I actually have MLB.TV mosaic - but the application doesn't work until later in spring training. I love that app - I can watch 6 games at once.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:39 PM

that silverlight is crap. crap i tell you. as soon as it comes up, i switch over to the old player.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:39 PM

Chip Caray isn't very good - but at least he's no Tim McCarver.

And I'm hoping TBS keeps up their multi-cam coverage they used for the playoffs - online, you could watch the normal view, batter's eye view, pitcher's eye view, the press conference room, or the dugout. They had a camera in the dugout the whole game.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:40 PM

I think I can get that since I bought thre Premium MLBtv thing

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:41 PM

Thanks!! At least my memory's in tact.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:41 PM

theMosaic, I mean. Sorry for typing issues.. I am one handed now thanks to a puppy attack :-)

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:41 PM

I am hoping that TBS does the games in HD as well now that I have TBS HD here.

Texy anybody's better than McCarver except Glenn Geffner. Poor Marlin fans who listen to the games on the radio. Wait, do any Marlins fans even listen to the game on the radio. :D

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:44 PM

I think Northeastern is hoping they don't give up 24 runs like BC did. Then they can say they did better against the Sox.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:44 PM

the marlins have fans? I mean outside of the seven fat guys who are goign to be the Manitees?

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:44 PM

I wonder, out of all these collegiate games over time, how many times the college kids have won?

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:46 PM

wait, don't folks go for the Marlins games for the $1 beer?

[ Meg ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:50 PM

When I lived in FL I knew about two "real" Marlins fans, meaning ones that were fans before and after October '03. They might listen:-P

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:50 PM

Great thing about Dolphin Stadium? Multiple, HUGE, full bars.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:50 PM

Did you see this in The Globe:
Fun-loving closer Jonathan Papelbon was given permission to leave camp to speak at Mississippi State, where he pitched. The subject? "I don't even want to know," Francona said.

Topics. Let's discuss.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:52 PM

Paps is going to talk about how Mona Vie is good for your body. Then he is going to teach them how to Irish Jig.

[ Liza ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:55 PM

I can't believe this--my radio was acting really weird, I have no idea what it was, but all of a sudden it started mangling the sound, and it didn't clear up until just now. The Sox just scored again, and it's 11-0 now. I missed the entire top of the inning! I missed Breslow. He did well?

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:55 PM

I went to Dolphin Stadium the first year they were open for baseball in 1993. Went to see an exhibition game there for a weekend trip from school in Lakeland.

That stadium was pretty cool back then when they had the restaurant in center field. players would try to put BP HR's into the people sitting out there in the restaurant.

I've been to the stadium there alot though, always to see the Rockies play the Marlins from back when I worked for a Rockies minor league affiliate. the only thing i hated about is where it's located. I could never complain about the seats because I had primo seats from the Rockies. Not like it would be hard to get tickets.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:56 PM

Yeah - I have that on the sidebar calendar, but haven't seen anything about what he's talking about. MSU is broadcasting his speech live... but you had to pay, like, $100 for a subscription.

I'll guess the topic is: Who's the hottest Sox player?

[ Meg ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:58 PM

I bet it will be something about politics. Or economics. Or constitutional law. Paps just never shuts up about that stuff.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:01 PM

Both are viable ideas for Paps speech. Beer and bruising rock n roll in baseball?

Breslow did well. Made a nice play on a single, Liza.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:01 PM

I am sure someone there will ask him what he thinks about Roger Clemens. That seems to be the obligatory question these days.

Clemens and/or steroids in general, certainly. I can't wait to hear his response--"Those #*@!&ers--I can pitch fire and all I drink is chocolate milk!"

[ starr4 ] says:

and beer.

[ Ian ] says:

has anyone seen Papelbon's wikipedia entry. It says his wife Ashley is a former actress. Confucius say Ian you confused.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:05 PM

Liza don't forget he drinks Mona Vie too.

[ Dionysius ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:06 PM

Who is this guy pitching? We have a guy named Jones?

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:06 PM

Ashley an actress? That's the first I've heard of it. In Mississippi? Seems odd.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:07 PM

Papelbon is married to actress Ashley Jefferies and they reside in Hattiesburg, Mississippi

[ Meg ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:10 PM

Hunter Jones is a non-roster guy...pitched at Lancaster and Portland last year. And he has goggles kinda like Gagne's:-P

[ Liza ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:13 PM

Yeah, but he's a lot better than Gagne.

Kyle Jackson is scheduled to pitch the 7th, I think. I'm happy--I haven't heard much about the guy, but he sounds really good.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:13 PM

can you imagine even keeping a scoreboard for this game not on a computer. I'd probably use a whole bottle of white-out

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:16 PM

I love, love, LOVE Kyle Jackson. He's my favorite baby prospect.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:16 PM

have heard erasers at work over the radio on the scorecard...

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:17 PM

I aslo have heard of Kyle Jackson. Itll be fun to hear how he does.

Seriously, is college baseball just a never ending series of walks?

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:19 PM

i've seen a lot of college games in my lifetime. they can be a series of walks but usually its more misplayed balls or overthrown balls than anything.

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:21 PM

walked in a run.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:25 PM

Wow - 2h17m so far. That's what happens when you have 12 runs and 18 billion substitutions and pitching changes.

Make that 15 runs.

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:25 PM

Be still, my baseball deprived heart, they're talking about length of the game, noting the game's been on for 2 hours, 17 minutes.
*ahhhhhh*

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:25 PM

two more runs in and the Sox now lead 15-0

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:25 PM

here's something great for y'all from the Hartford Courant blog.

How did Masterson keep himself busy this afternoon, waiting all day for his first-ever spring training start.

He watched Judge Judy.

In a related note, my father, the most faithful Judge Judy viewer in the free world, is now officially a Justin Masterson fan.

[ Liza ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:29 PM

That's hilarious. Masterson's easily my favorite prospect.

I'm definitely excited to see Jackson pitch, though! They just got back to the game...

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:29 PM

Inning is FINALLY over. 15-0 Sox, Jackson has to get three outs then its laundry time

[ Meg ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:37 PM

Ah, defensive indifference.

[ Liza ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:38 PM

Eek. Jackson just let up two walks after striking out one. He seems to be throwing a lot of balls but confusing hitters too. I wish we could see this on TV!

[ Meg ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:40 PM

Uh oh, we might not get the shut out. Come on Kyle!!!

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:41 PM

Yeah - this doesn't seem to be going all that well for Kyle.

And there are some SERIOUS Northeastern fans there.

[ Liza ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:41 PM

One strike away from combining for the shutout...

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:42 PM

Let's go Kyle!! Bring her home as a shutout!

[ Dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:42 PM

Two down. One more out.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:42 PM

strike 3. sit down in your seat, good day sir

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:43 PM

good to see kyle recover from his troubles and preserve the shutout.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:43 PM

Good day sir - hee!

We kept the shutout, got the W... and Jackson ended up straightening out there at the end.

[ Liza ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:44 PM

Struck 'im out! Game's over! GO KYLE! :D

[ dionysus ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:44 PM

GOT HIM! 15-0 Final

[ starr4 ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:45 PM

Thanks everyone. Let's do this again sometime. Soon. :)

[ Meg ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:48 PM

Today was good. Yay for 39 unanswered runs:-D

I can't wait until 7:05 tomorrow.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:48 PM

I'll open a game thread tomorrow as well - which should be infinitely more fun when there are visuals to go with the audio.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:51 PM

To steal a line from Josh Beckett.

Kyle Jackson got out of the inning by "executing" his pitches.

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 7:55 PM

Thanks Texy for your awesomeness of doing the game post.

[ Liza ] says:
on February 28, 2008 8:04 PM

Yay! Are you going to have game threads for every game this year? It'll get pretty crazy!

[ Steve ] says:
on February 29, 2008 12:01 AM

Ian is a pink hat!!!

[ Ian ] says:
on February 28, 2008 6:37 PM

I am still listening off of MLB.tv. It's a nice little thing that comes with the Red Sox Nation purchase is that you get MLB audio for free.
