A "can of corn" is a can't-miss high fly ball, an easy catch an outfielder can (and should) make without any trouble.

Remember those MLB PSAs the last couple years showing a baseball player playing with a gaggle of kids? I propose we love Dontrelle Willis because it looks like he's one of the kids waiting for the baseball player to show up.
