Notice that the scourge of the Yankees is encroaching in the lower corner of the photo. Thankfully, he was not sitting anywhere near me - so I didn't have to get up and move away from him.
For my first 3 years of college, we would make the 30 min drive from Lakeland over to Winter Haven to catch a team you know and love, the Boston Red Sox. The Indians moved there in 1993. I never really liked that place but I got to see the Sox so I was happy.
Pretttyyyy. Oh and they finally unleashed the 2008 Roster Photos on redsox.com in case you want to see a good train wreck (Just as a warning, DO NOT under any circumstance drink anything when you click on Youkilis')
my bad, I think I got a little crossed up with the tags.
Yeah I'm guessing he was probably still drunk. Also, everybody's got like that "stop making me laugh!" sidesmile to them. I think they were all like in teh background trying to make each other laugh.
Beckett looks like he's gonna kill someone, Buchholz looks just plain old confused, Lowell looks too serious, Lester's ear is sticking out like it's broken, Papi looks like Dominican Harpo Marx, and in the non-roster invitee section: Cash look scared, Hunter Jones looks like a backwoods nerd, and Gronkiewicz looks scarred for life.
Piney, I had an absolute field day looking through the NRI photos. To cover the ones you didn't mention:
Masterson looks like his hat and shirt are aligned and his head is the thing that's tilted. Tejera looks like a baby Javier Lopez. Bowden's eyebrows are like an inch thick (but I love his eyes). Poor Lowrie's face looks normal on one side and scrunched up on the other. Kolb's eyes are practically shut. Is Colon sitting sideways? Switzer's hat is practically vertical. Velazquez reminds me frighteningly of Matt Clement. Kielty... just looks weird.
Granadillo (even though he's not smiling) and Thurston (he's adorable) are the only remotely normal-looking ones, imo.
Colon also looks like he's about to say "Are you gonna eat that?" which I mean only because it's just that look on his face. Bowden looks super smug. I love the day they release the roster photos
