Another One Bites The Dust

The all-powerful flu bug has claimed yet another victim in the Sox clubhouse: Daisuke Matsuzaka has scratched from his scheduled start tonight against the Angels- Jon Lester will start in his place.

Can't someone please pass the flu bug along to another team now? We've had quite enough, thankyouverymuch. We're running out of guys who can play. Pretty soon, the Sox will be calling on beer vendors and groundskeepers to fill out the roster.

This is getting bad. Can't the flu go to the Yankees? I wouldn't mind if A-Rod got it.
I was thinking of going to a game in Tampa this weekend, but not sure if any of my favorite players will be left to play.

Beer vendors filling out the roster might be the only way the Angels could beat the Red Sox.

All our boys and staff have to practice better hand hygiene!!!!
And, pass the flu to the Yankees.

as was suggested over at Surviving Grady, they need to get clever with this flu bug and start rubbing their germs all over the visiting team's clubhouse. In fact, they should just have some intern sneak in rub dirty tissues on all their gloves and uniforms. are you listening, Theo?

there's no way Jacoby will succumb to this - he should have some Navajo medicine man from the rez come in and take care of the team.

plus, after that whole "blanket" incident a couple hundred years back...he's probably got a pretty strong immune system.

(what, too soon for Native American genocide jokes?)
