Josh Is Teaching The Next Generation

Josh Beckett won't let something like "guts-twisting flu" keep him from passing on his wisdom to the impressionable youth of America. In this case, the kids of the Children's Hospital Pediatric Oncology Department were the beneficiary of his giggles (seriously, he giggled- there's photographic proof). Lord only knows what stories he laid on those kids, or what helpful advice he rendered.

Josh also delivered a $100,000 check to Children's Hospital- the money he raised at last year's Beckett Bowl. The next Beckett Bowl is just around the corner (July 10th)- and the advertisements for it are cropping up around town. You can click on the image below to see a larger version.

Has anyone gone to this before? Does anyone know how much the tickets usually cost just to go (not necessarily bowl)?

the ticket pricing isnt up on the website yet-- just the sponsor info. Please help me if you can!

They had some video of him visiting CHB (not the red-headed journalist CHB hehe) up at Fenway yesterday, and it looks like a good time was had by all. I'm hoping it shows up on The Red Sox Report next week.

And that pic of him and Randy Moss is pretty awesome. I like the quotations around "A-list" too since that makes me wonder exactly whose definition of A-list will be used.

Lindsay - from what I remember from the info for last year's Beckett Bowl, there were no general admission sort of tickets. Most if not all of those who were spectators at the event were guests of the sponsors/bowling teams and of course, some media.

I went to the VIP party last year. It was $150 and we decided not to go this year again. They don't have spectators like Tek's golf thing does. I was glad to see how much money they raised. What a great thing.
