Look at Lester in his ice packs. Being all calm BECAUSE HE IS EXHAUSTED.

Couldn't be happier for him. Love the kid. Brass balls, damnit insert any cliche you want. What happened at Fenway tonight was absolutely beautiful. JON LESTER, You are THE MAN! Brilliant from start to finish. Great, live stuff... couldn't be happier for him! http://thebosoxblog.com/?p=30

Just got home. Yes, from Fenway.

OMG

It was magic. Sooooo sweet.

[ Jessi ] says:

This was completely amazing =] And to think that Lester and Ellsbury (who made the no-hit-saving catch) were considered for a trade...

[ Liza ] says:

I am SO PROUD of him right now.

It's so true that it couldn't have happened to a sweeter, more real, and more deserving guy :)

Clay's interview was so precious; he's absolutely beaming and proud of his little buddy :D

Fenway was AMAZING. I was literally shaking from the seventh inning on. Absolutely awesome.

OK, limited ability to communicate returning.

It was about the 6th inning when it started dawning on everyone what was going on. Seeing that row of zeros on the Monster. I kept looking over at the bullpen hoping hoping hoping not to see anyone up as Jon's pitch count edged towards and then past 100.

When Youk caught the ball for the second-to-last out at first, instead of tossing the ball to Jon, he walked to the mound and handed him the ball. He said something and gave him a little swat on the behind. History was about to happen.

Jon and Tito: I never saw two men nug so long. Then break. Then hug some more.

Seeing both of them wipe tears from their eyes. Which brought tears to mine.

I sat here at the computer and cried when the last out was recorded. It could not have happened to a more deserving person.

I was listening to his interview on the radio after and am I the only one that finds it adorable that he calls Jacoby Jake?

So, I was at a show out of town in a rather classy theater when my phone kept buzzing like mad. Two texts from MLB and seven from assorted friends and fellow friends letting me know of Jon's victory.

I'm hyper-emotional. And I'm just so proud. My God, it could not have happened at a better moment to a better man. This guy is absolutely incredible. Just... I'm welling up again.

Gah. What a loooooove!

My brother (who pays for the cable) was watching NBA playoffs. I was glued to Gameday in the 6th inning when I realized what was happening, so I just starting screaming/yelling/pleading/begging at/with him to go to the game. Thank God he complied.

I ended up screaming hysterically once, and then just breaking down into sobbing laughter, with tears streaming down my face.

I think my brother thought I was insane.

Just amazing all around. Even this morning it's still an emotional thing. All I have to see is one picture of Tito embracing Jon and I lose it again!

Thank you Red Sox! Another unforgettable baseball moment, courtesy of the best team in baseball.

Jennifer, you would've fit in at our house ;-).

I was cooking dinner while the game was on and noticed that Lester was pitching a shutout. When Remy mentioned that no one was talking to Lester I realized what was happening.

I'm *officially* jealous of you lucky folks were at the game ;-)
