my favorite moment from yesterday (and beyond) so far - besides the EPIC tito/jonny hug right after the win last night - has been t.c. and eck interviewing jonny down on the field in the pregame tonight. eee. so calm, so collected, so loose about it all, the day after - unbelievably cute.
schill calls buchholz, pedroia, lester, and ellsbury the MOUNT RUSHMORE of "why the Red Sox have put themselves in a position to win, a lot, over the next decade."
Hi everyone! I have had an absolutely horrible day and I won't be able to watch the game. So, I'm saying Hi now before I give up and call it a night early!
Texy, I re-read (again) your beautiful piece on Lester's no-no. It's the best I've read on his achievement.
I'm excited to see Masterson tonight! And Colon tomorrow night! I was *really* hoping to see Beckett Friday, but it looks like Wake is getting the start.
DO/Remy said that Lester told them he didn't sleep a wink last night. I bet! What a night!
I need to work, I'm sooooooooooooooooo far behind on my project, it's not even funny.
It's no coincidence that he's now caught a record 4 no-hitters, trust me. I would BET, BIG MONEY, that I'd have been the 4th if I hadn't shaken him off...
Awww, Bethie -- hugs to you. I hope the thunderstorms and tornadoes stayed away from you this time. I'm going to go to bed early too, i.e., right after the game.
hey everyone....still tired from last nights extravaganza...so excited for Jon....and I love the reaction from his teamates, did anyone catch the article in the globe where Clay and Josh talked about how nervous they were....to cute....i love our team.....ok, on to tonight's game =)
Ooohhh, Steph, he was on World News Tonight? Great -- maybe my mom got to see the visuals. She hasn't really followed baseball since the Dodgers left Brooklyn, but I sent her a link to one of the better articles and insisted that she read it!
It was really sweet. They talked to this kid with leukemia, and Lester recorded a personal message for him. I hope Lester and this kid get to meet someday...
I didn't post it on my site though. That Red Lasso player makes my site freeze up. I think it's got something to do with the javascript stuff that suckass wordpress uses. I plan to go over to movable type.
Rut ruh another one to make for the Watney watching now.
Honestly, I don't think TV announcers need to say anything about the no-no's. The radio announcers on the other hand are there to describe the game and what's going on and need to tell you.
The beat writers who blog shouldn't say anything about it either. Actually I think only the Boston Herald didn't mention no-hitter.
It took me a really long time to connect, too. I tried going to your site, but that wouldn't work either.
I think it was everyone, though, because no one commented in that 15 minute gap.
Ironically nj my site came back at the same time as here.
for those with NESN, that was pretty funny when Remy said Masterson should go into Francona's office and tell him he can't pitch at Portland anymore and can only pitch here.
I like it, too, TG (Okay, I admit I didn't notice right away, but it's still really awesome!).
That's weird, Ian. Other sites are working for me; actuallly, I think your site and this one were the only ones not working (which is really, really bad because I wouldn't be able to live without those two sites!).
I'm still having some trouble connecting here, though. It's taking a really long time or not working at all...Is anyone else still experiencing the same thing?
Yeah, I noticed! I saw it once and wondered how coincidental that would be if it was just in the randomized mix, so I checked the URL and it wasn't the random.php one. :)
Also, I hope Masterson goes to Pawtucket... I'm going on Monday! (So excited... I've never been to McCoy!)
Is there still a glitch in the matrix? I tried to post a few minutes ago and "could not display the web page." And I see no posts for an additional 15 minutes. Hmmm....
Awww, nice job, Justin. You pitched a beautiful game tonight! (Now we just need to see if you rejoin your partner in crime in Pawtucket...you deserve to.)
I wish I could answer that...I haven't been around a computer enough lately to know what's been going down with Kielty.
And NJ, my kid brother took the TV in the basement back to play XBOX. Whilst I don't mind Call of Duty 4, I missed the brawl and am a tad disappointed..
Looks like everyone else has given up but me. I'll stay on here just in case, but I'm going to bed pretty quickly after the game. I'm not feeling my best this evening and need to get some extra rest.
Ian, I said everyone had given up because for a long while the bottom of the page was showing just 2 users online. I'm glad to see 19 on here now. It was getting lonely.
And wouldn't it suck if they didn't get the hint and he hits the next two on the road?
I definitely want him to have them in the book by his birthday on 5/30.
OMG, Gload who just batted...the announcers mentioned that he's from my dad's home town (and 9 previous generations of my ancestors). Can't imagine a major league player coming from there...
Couldn't post again for a moment. Lifelong, thanks for the well wishes. Just exhaustion and upset tummy (salad veggies past their prime).
I'm looking forward to tomorrow and "seeing" Colon pitch. Will be late due to grocery shopping but will get here eventually. I hope the server is happier by then!

LESTER > SANTANA. ;D
