And well, since it IS mother's day, I'm not going to be joining you guys tonight, I'm going to go watch it with the momskies and play Red Sox monopoly (the 2007 one) with her :)
I am - I sort of spazzed last night. It was...awkward, because it was in front of my kid brother! And now that he's back in Pawtucket for the time being I can get back to planning that Rhode Island trip...
I forgot about that! San Diego's AAA team is the Portland Beavers...(goes to look at them again) Anyone heard any rumors about the Corey trade? I'll miss him, though...
I'm pretty thrilled to see Cora in the lineup. I'd laugh if he went like 3-3 or something, but I doubt it'll happen. Though I'd love to see him get a huge hit. Though I hope to see Jedward back soon.
Lindsay, he's already traded. The only way he was going to get any playing time was in Pawtucket, but he deserves to be in the majors so they traded him to a team that needs pitching.
I'm actually not too upset about Jed going back to Pawtucket - he could use just a tad more polish, anyway, and besides, my Pawtucket trip has its original purpose back now...(I can still wear the Stanford hat without looking like a Chris Carter fangirl!)
That's the thing I like. We've got 2 guys who are fully capable of playing SS, so Lugo can have as much time as he needs. You hear me Red Sox, AS MUCH TIME AS HE NEEDS!! :)
Now you've just got to worry about juggling the roster to make room.
I've see Jacoby with glasses! If you look at the pictures in which he's getting off the airplane in Tokyo with his girlfriend, he's wearing them. He's got square frames, if I recall correctly...
Also, I've decided I want Kevin Cameron for Bryan Corey. He was born in Joliet, Illinois, which is where Anthony Rapp (one of my favorite actors and singers) was born!
And Piney, I totally agree on the stereotyping thing - I'm short and not particularly fast, either! (Dustin and I are totally the same person sometimes, except I have hair.)
Anyone remember a game last year in Oakland when Pedroia tried to score from first on a ball hit by Ortiz, and he was out by so much that Jason Kendall tagged him in the head with his glove?? It's good to see that he has gotten a little quicker
(crosses her fingers) Can we have some Lowell-Cora synergy tonight? They should theoretically hit better when they're both in the lineup - it's like Jed and Jacoby.
I just sort of assumed that's how it was. I think that's how it's said--that's how Don says it, anyway. I'm not sure if I should trust Remy, but he says it that way too.
Well the good thing about this game is that it'll end before midnight most likely(barring any sudden comebacks, which if this team wants to do -- I tell them to go right ahead)
Her son, Craig, just whacked his second home run of the game, a solo shot in the seventh off Mike Timlin, adding another run to the Twins' padding, 9-6. Monroe hit a three-run homer in the second off Tim Wakefield.
Marilyn Monroe was at the Metrodme tonight as part of Mother's Day festivities. Monroe said his mother always has been kidded about her name.
That's what makes this team great Piney. We may whine and complain they are getting blown out, but in the end they never give up and always give it their all no matter what's happening.
It's the mark of great leadership from the manager and a mark of a championship team.
Ian: I got a big day tomorrow. You guys have a great time.
High School/College Student: A big day? Doing what?
Ian: Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.
Cool, Steph! I'm pretty much done for my 3 AP classes because we had to learn everything before the exams, so now we're just going to watch movies in those classes, but I still have to work in the rest of my classes...
I know the feeling fc, I got all excited the other day when I got the mail and found out I had won a $50 gift certficiate from Lowes on WRKO (Flagship station of the Red Sox).
I was so pumped to get a new garbage can for the apartment plus a set of blinds to replace the ones in the bathroom.
I wasn't on my either today shockingly. I did my morning post and then left the house for the day. Did a quick post before I left the parentals. and watched the survivor finale on the split screen on the widescreen.
I do have to say this. Next time Tito has to do an in-game interview, he needs to make sure Big Papi isn't in the vicinity. That's the second time he's done that. He did it once in spring training as well.
