Blame It On The Rain

Sometimes a rain delay can be a good thing... a very good thing.

When it gives your closer and relief pitcher an opportunity to showcase their video lip synching to Milli Vanilli's "Blame It On The Rain", it's a very good thing indeed. Glorious, even.

I give you... Jonathan Papelbon and Manny Delcarmen.

This is the entire "musical video" performance (and I use that term loosely), not just the portion shown during the game. Best parts? Papelbon getting a bucket of water thrown on him... and watching the reaction of the guys in the dugout while the video was shown.

Almost as funny as the video itself are the bemused expressions on the faces of everyone in the dugout (particularly Beckett). And of course, the commentary by Remy and Orsillo.

I have seen that video twice now, and still love it. Hilarious. In the game thread earlier, we were trying to figure out who the girls were. I think it's their wives. Their is a part near the end that shows them close up, looks like them. I would only do that for a lot of money.

Papelbon almost looked surprised, like he didn't even remember doing that. Beckett's reaction is amazing, and I think I've started to love MDC. And the fact that they're lip-synching a song that the original "artists" lip-synched? I believe that, in some stange way, the universe has come full circle.

MDC is HOT in that video! He definitely has it all over Papelboogie when it comes to the moves. Paps forgets to use the microphone sometimes... But the bucket of water makes up for it.
