Bethie, if you are indeed in NC then I would try calling Customer Service. I was blacked out from the Philllies games (I live in NJ) and gave them a call. Took about 10 minutes and they found a mistake in the computer. I was then able to watch the Sox win =]
Gameday is growing on me Faith. Still getting used to it.
Apparently this game is part of the whole national blackout on Saturdays. If the start time is after 1:10PM or before 7:05PM (I'm guessing since it's 6:05 in Houston) then it's blacked out every where. It's all FOX broadcastings fault!!! Wahhhhh..:D
funny fc. I work in technical support....so I know. :D
And I hate talking to other technical support people, because they seriously talk down to me, and it makes me wonder if I sound like that when I talk to people. :D
ha ha. I wish everything had spell check, don't you fc?? :D
Okay, so the little dude I talked to fixed my problem for tonight's game. But he laughed at me when I asked him why I couldn't watch the red sox play baltimore, since I live so close to them and all. *eye roll*
I asked him since they had me blacked out from all Orioles games, if he was going to pay to fly me to Boston and Baltimore every time the red sox play them. Again a laugh. I'm glad I am so amusing. :D
Now he thinks my favorite team is the Orioles. LOL
Coincidentally, Mary, last night I reread the game thread from Lester's no-no...and I had been about to fix dinner when the game began. It wasn't until the game was over that I finally got dinner together...at about 10:00 p.m. Yep, everything else must wait when a game is going on!
I agree Mary. If it happened in the 8th i would be a little worried. But we have plenty of time to come back. And-- Lester, Jacoby and Dustin!!! Come on boys!! =)
Forgot you were at work, Bethie! Let's see...it's basically a big mass of weather that stretches from the Triple Cities all the way to north of Atlanta. It's heading east, so depending on whether the air cools enough to kill it, it will probably get to your area in a couple-three hours.
As much as I hate to leave in a tight game like this, I have to go drive my sister to friends house. She has no concept of the Red Sox games... but don't worry I'll be taping the outcome. GO SOX!!!!
At lesat we did score a ton of runs. And this was the worst pitching performance (on a whole) we've had in a long time so hopefully it was only an off day...for everyone.
Bethie, that's what I was saying...it's not nasty at all. A couple of rumbles, but a gentle rain. Really pleasant. I have my kitchen door open and am enjoying the sound and the cool air.
fc, in case you check back...right now my tummy wouldn't like drowning my sorrows very much. I threw together some pasta w/shrimp and mushroom alfredo sauce. A little bit too rich, although it tasted good. So I'll have to figure out some other way of drowning my sorrows, I suppose!

First comment! Looking forward to hopefully another great outing from Lester.
