ecl speaketh first tonight, as she is still at work (gasp). I am SO looking forward to easing into the weekend with a little Cards/Sox action...a nice prelude to seeing our boys on TV apparently FOUR times between now and Wednesday. Yee-HAH!
Carry on...I'll probably arrive during the second inning.
I get home just in time to see the Celtics cruising the outfield in duck boats. Awesome.
Scot Pollard!!!!!! LOVE HIM! He was always one of my favorite Kings. I'm so happy for him to get a ring.
Is this RAIN I see? ugh.
I'm so glad it's Friday. Freakin' long week and I have to work all weekend. We were going to go to a River Cats game tonight (A's AAA team), but it's 105 outside.
Oh, one last whine, I sure hope tomorrow's game on Fox is *the* game on Fox.
PS: I loved the Celtics coming out to "We are the Champions" (it's *always* a good time for Queen)--the line, "no time for losers..." take THAT lakers.
Every time I see the video of Kendrick's not-trade, I laugh along with it until they show the clip of the reporters all laughing at him. Then I feel terrible for him.
Hey all! Didn't know there was a rain delay until I fired up ol' Bessie in my kitchen. So I *do* get to follow the whole game. YAY! May the rain stay gone for the rest of the weekend.
Jules, I'm with you...it's been a LONG day. Not a bad one, just busy and grueling.
*huffs* Figures. Tomorrow's game is on Fox. Tomorrow's game is at 3:55. I'm stuck at work until 5, then thanks to my commute, won't get home until nearly seven. Ten bucks says the game's over by then.
Like usual, Ian is always there to post all of these great videos for us non-NESN people (and anyone who just wants to see stuff like this again!): http://soxanddawgs.com/?p=4582
I just came online, a little bit ago, turned on the mlb.tv and they were zoomed in on varitek and beckett, works for me. TGIF, the games are online Saturday and Sunday. I'm so excited my friend just won an emmy.
There are days I really would like to whack Lugo in the head, this is one of them.
It's scary after seeing that video, that Papelbon is my favorite. Who are the female dancers? Their wives?
Has anyone out there seen the four-panel cartoon about why Lugo has all these problems? It's actually rather funny...being afraid of baseballs, his brain being wired wrong, daydreaming about ice cream, and taking fielding lessons from Manny. But as WRKO just said, the main problem seems to be his throwing accuracy. In which case, perhaps he should take throwing lessons from laser-arm Manny.
