Whoa, this is up really early.
Hi, if anyone else is here!

[ fc ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:01 PM

Just stopping in before heading out to enjoy the game with REAL LIVE PEOPLE. Have fun, kids.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:02 PM

it's good to be home. felt weird doing it myself last night.

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:02 PM

Yay, we have a gameday thread today :)

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:02 PM

So does that mean we are REAL fake people. LOL. Have fun fc.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:25 PM

Is anyone else having trouble logging into MLB.com? To listen to GameDay Audio, I need to be signed in, but for some reason I can't...

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:26 PM

Hey all...yes, it's good to be home, although Ian was a wonderful host last night.

Thought I'd be missing the beginning of this game for a haircut, but my back dictated otherwise. I'm sure Ian can relate to this predicament (leaning back against hot pack).

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:28 PM

nj, I just logged in w/no problem.

(running back to stove to finish fixing oatmeal)...

[ jules ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:28 PM

Hi All!

What a game last night! I'm still stoked for Manny. NESN just showed a video montage of "Manny being Manny." I LOVE this guy.

ecl, I hope your back feels better!

[ Cathy ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:29 PM

An extra-innings thriller on Friday, and Manny's 500th homr run yesterday, I wonder what today's game will bring.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:35 PM

Thanks jules! It's just extra cranky today...happens now and then.

And I would have to say that only the most vitriolic Yankees partisans could do anything other than love Manny. What's not to love? Although I must admit I'm not fond of his "cow chewing cud" thing, LOL.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:36 PM

jules they showed that montage last night plus another one set to linkin park. I'm just glad they showed the manny being manny one again because the one i have in my post was all black & white at times.

It's good to be home.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:37 PM

i know your pain ecl. I have this new medication called lyrica which works great.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:37 PM

Yay Jacoby!

It is nice to have a home for this one. I didn't know what to do with myself after Manny's 500th as I needed to talk to someone but nobody in my house wanted to talk!

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:38 PM

Hey guys! Looking forward to today's game. Who is this guy Jeff Bailey? He sounds kinda familiar...

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:38 PM

and if you haven't heard the news on Big Papi but it's not good. He's heading back to boston tomorrow for an MRI

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:38 PM

bailey plays in pawtucket. was up last year for the sox for a bit.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:39 PM

That's weird, ecl. I keep getting an error...

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:39 PM

Ian, I'm on so many meds that I'm reluctant to take on any more. And I'm trying to handle the back stuff w/o meds other than Tylenol.

Liza, it's good that you and I and a few others found each other later in the evening. Poor Ian had to put up with my incoherence when it happened.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:40 PM

I thought Papi was just day-to-day.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:40 PM

Jessi, he was positively raking at Pawtucket earlier. He had a brief stint up here last summer.

Awww. Poor Superman.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:40 PM

i dont know about that call. ok it doesn't seem like that bad of a call. it was close.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:41 PM

Papi is day-to-day. but it's not looking good.

[ Cathy ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:41 PM

Crap!

I guess he has to get caught some of the time.

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:41 PM

Jacoby was caught stealing? Was that the close call?

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:42 PM

Jeff Bailey had 16 home runs and 44 RBIs in 179 ABs in Pawtucket.

Manny! Love you Manny!

[ Anonymous ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:42 PM

Youk!

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:43 PM

Avery, it was really, really close. At first it looked questionable but in slow-mo he was pretty clearly out.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:43 PM

almost 501

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:45 PM

ecl it felt weird with me having people over to my site like that but I was happy to help out. But I will say this again and again.

It's good to be home

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:45 PM

That's a great sign--

"Don & Jerry's all-nautral commentary"

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:48 PM

Ian, thanks for providing us all with a home--and I must say, that preview-as-you-type script is pretty awesome.

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:48 PM

Yeah, Ian I agree. I also like that it remembers your name ;)

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:51 PM

Y'all are welcome. Just remember that it's a backup. I like it here and don't want to step on my friend Texy's toes at all.

She's been a gracious host all season for putting up with us and I thank her for that immensely.

[ Cathy ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:51 PM

Pretty nice inning by Colon.

Now how about scoring some runs?

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:52 PM

nj, did you try rebooting? (I know that's pretty much a given, but just in case)...

Ian, I was multitasking during the latter part of last night's game and got distracted enough to miss exactly what happened with Papi that hurt his wrist. Can you elucidate please?

And yes, there's noplace like home (clicking heels three times)...

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:53 PM

so they call Lowell safe on that when it looked the same as when tacoby almost stole second.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:53 PM

Nice Mikey!

[ Cathy ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:53 PM

Mikey's got wheelz!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:54 PM

papi swung at a pitch and felt something pop in his wrist and had to leave the game with a 3-2 count.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:54 PM

Yeah, MikeyLOL!...go Tek!

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:54 PM

Of course--TG's absolutely fantastic and I love this site, that goes without saying. But I was saying thank you for putting up with us for that one night as well.

And yes, that call looked pretty much identical.

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:54 PM

Yeah Mikey, lets go Cap'n

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:54 PM

Ian, awww noooo...poor Papi. :-(

[ Ellen ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:56 PM

howdy everyone!

[ Cathy ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:57 PM

Great start to the inning. Let's keep those hits coming!

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:58 PM

Mikey's quote about him having wheels still makes me laugh, just like Casey wanting to feel like Ellsbury. Oh, I love this team.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:58 PM

i knew what you meant liza. and you're welcome. i didn't mind at all. me like you, felt lost last night.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 1:59 PM

Avery - what are the quotes?

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:01 PM

"After the error, Lowell singled to left off Chad Bradford (2-2), then took off for third following Youkilis' single. "Wheels," Lowell said."

"Let me feel what he feels just once," Casey begged. "Let me get on first and feel what he feels just once."

Too funny

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:03 PM

Okay, Lugie...do something good...

[ Cathy ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:04 PM

Lugo!

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:05 PM

AHH, Trace Adkins song "swing" just came on. Yay!
Lets go Ellsbury!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:06 PM

did anyone notice anything strange about today's lineup? give me some guesses and i'll give you the answer.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:06 PM

Haha thanks Avery.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:07 PM

Ian - that the rookie is hitting in front of Lugo? Though I don't find that too surprising...

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:07 PM

Ian, there are 5 J's in a row? (sort of)

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:08 PM

* Rookie = Bailey

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:08 PM

I'll give y'all a hint. There's a lefty pitcher.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:14 PM

That the hits off the lefty pitcher are from lefties?

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:14 PM

Since it appears no one is going to get this one, I'll tell you.

Coco Crisp usually plays against left-handed pitchers and Jacoby doesn't. But Coco isn't in the lineup at all and Tacoby is playing center.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:17 PM

Ohh ok.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:18 PM

Leave it to Ian to notice something like that and then stump us with it! :-)

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:23 PM

Sorry for making your brains work on a sunday.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:24 PM

Haha it looks like the guys are trying to make up for Jacoby's failed steal.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:24 PM

Manuel!!!!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:24 PM

LOL Ian...hey, are dead brains the reason everyone is so quiet today? Aftereffects of last night?

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:25 PM

I know, Jessi, I was just thinking how speedy we must be. I'm watching on gameday, but I can only imagine.
Haha, Ian, I like the riddles. But really, the last 4 hitters (and Jacoby) all have first names that start with a J.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:26 PM

i didn't even notice that avery. very interesting though.

[ *jen* ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:28 PM

Ok, Tek. Keep it going.

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:30 PM

Yay JD! Let's keep this up Bailey!

[ *jen* ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:30 PM

Yeah, JD!

[ LifelongSoxFan ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:37 PM

GLUED to MASN....Millar's got a little Alice Cooper action going on with his eyeblack.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:42 PM

I finally got MLB Audio to work! (After talking to MLB Customer Service for almost 40 minutes...)
I guess MLB was just having some problems with IE7, so now I'm using FireFox. It might take a little while to get used to, but it seems to be basically the same as IE.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:47 PM

firefox is so much better and easier to use than Internet Explorer. I don't even use IE at all anymore.

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:47 PM

Time to go, hopefully I"ll be back before the end of the game.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:48 PM

Well that's weird, nj, I've got IE, I'm assuming it's IE7 because I only got this computer a few months ago...and it's been working just fine.

Glad you were able to get onto the audio, though!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:51 PM

501

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:51 PM

Ian, I guess I just use IE because that's what everyone else I know seems to use, but FF actually seems pretty cool. I think I might stay with this!

Random question, Ian: What character encoding/text size do you use? Some text (such as this page) look a little distorted, but maybe I'm just not used to it yet...

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:51 PM

501!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:51 PM

OMG Squeeeeeee!!!!!

Manuel, I love you!

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:51 PM

MANNY!!

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:52 PM

Jesus that was so much easier than 500.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:52 PM

back-to-back baby

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:52 PM

YES! Back-to-back!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:52 PM

B2B!!!!!

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:52 PM

Mikey!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:53 PM

Is there something in the air in Baltimore? So many long balls!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:55 PM

nj - i use a default font of times new roman size 16 pt
language is english-united states.

it looks different. it will take some time to get used to. waht i like is the bookmark toolbar so i dont have to go the bookmarks themself. I can just click the icon above.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:57 PM

nj i can tell you that my site looks a little different in FF than it does in IE. when someone tells me they have a problem with my site, that's about the only time i use IE

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:58 PM

Thanks, Ian. I'll have to fool around with that for a little while...

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:59 PM

even this site looks different as far as the way the fonts are. but that's about the only difference I can tell here on FF.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 2:59 PM

oops. i mean IE since that's what i am on right now.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:07 PM

Ian, BTW, thanks for the extended dugout video. Great stuff!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:10 PM

you're quite welcome. i was going crazy last night putting together all those videos and then realized i didn't have the nesn one

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:13 PM

ecl, I sent you an LJ message earlier today, so check your inbox when you get a chance. :)

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:13 PM

Yeah, 'lil Lugie!

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:14 PM

Ian, I think I'm already used to it a little bit more. The spell check thing is pretty cool. I made the text size larger, so now it's a bit easier to read because the letters aren't all smushed together. Thanks for your help up there and for all of your videos!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:15 PM

Ian, so much coverage, so little time. I can't stop reading/watching. I just discovered a nice essay on Cursed to First that folks may want to check out.

nj: Got it, just haven't responded yet. :-)

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:19 PM

Okay, ecl; I just wanted to make sure it was sent to you because, apparently, my computer is having some issues today...

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:20 PM

Your computer came through in the clutch...I just have a plethora of e-mails and comments and replies and etc., and got a late start on the day so haven't gotten very far with responding or acting on them.

Nice work, Runslikedeer...too bad your effort was wasted.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:25 PM

Hey guys. A friend came over for a while (bearing gifts in the form of a big Red Sox blanket, yay!).

Colon doesn't look too bad today.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:26 PM

Trivia that I just learned per Joe C: Markakis and Hansen are both natives of Glen Cove, LI, same as me. Although I got there a little bit ahead of them. ;-)

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:27 PM

Hi Liza! Yay for Red Sox blankets! I wonder...are there oversized Red Sox pillows? 'Cause I want one to hug.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:27 PM

A good play by Lugo!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:28 PM

It sounded good on the radio, Jessi!

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:32 PM

How about one of these or these, ecl?

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:32 PM

Hey Ecl, I found four on the MLB.com shop: this one's $15, this and this are $16, and this is $25.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:32 PM

today is not blanket weather

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:33 PM

Ecl, I just posted a comment with four links to different Red Sox pillows, but it's been held for moderation, so I'll message you on LJ. :)

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:33 PM

Oh definitely not blanket weathee. I'm positively sweltering here in front of the TV.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:34 PM

nj i have the 2004 tapestry one (not shown) up on my wall in my living room.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:34 PM

Weathee? Nice one, Liza.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:35 PM

Liza, I just remembered something I wanted to show you. You've probably seen it, but it combines two of the items on your birthday wish list, so I'm sure you wouldn't mind reading/looking at it again...

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:36 PM

Thanks, nj -- bookmarked for future use when I have a little extra cash to spend on treats...I already saw a couple of things I'd love to have!

Liza, can't imagine why it's been held if nj's got through, but I'll check my messages in a bit. Thanks!

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:37 PM

Ian, I actually think I know which one you are talking about; my brother has an '04 tapestry one in his room, so it might be the same one.

[ Anonymous ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:39 PM

Manny might have his ball back, but teammate Julio Lugo has the bat that Ramirez hit the homer with.
Not blanket weather here either, Liza. Mid-70s and a tad humid.

Just saw this cuteness on Projo: "Ramirez promised Lugo the bat a while ago, and before anyone could talk to Lugo he placed the bat in a white sanitary sock, tied it up and scooted out of the clubhouse. " (picturing 'lil Lugie sprinting wildly away from media throng seeking THE BAT)

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:40 PM

OOPS! That was me right above. Y'all can decipher it, I'm sure. Boo for not proofreading.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:42 PM

NJ, yes! He won an award for being nice, then gave the money from the award and an auction to diabetes research. Like... Has Sean met this kid?

YEAH PLEATS!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:42 PM

Super Pedroia

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:42 PM

Holy shit Superman!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:42 PM

btw happy bday liza

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:43 PM

That one sounded like another one for the video replays...

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:45 PM

I just found this, so I thought I'd share.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:49 PM

Thanks Ian :)

Also, NJ, that's amazing.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:50 PM

JD!!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:50 PM

they make some really good ones there.

J.D. is obviously over the vertigo

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:51 PM

Nice Drew! Guess he's feeling better.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:51 PM

You called it, ECL; the play is up on GameDay!

JD!!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:51 PM

I love our guys...

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:51 PM

that girl in the red over Bailey's right shoulder was pretty cute :D

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:53 PM

nj: thanks for letting me know -- that was quite a play!

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:57 PM

I didn't see her... but hey, that kid batting now is pretty cute ;D

Also, can I just point out? Being a grammar freak, the fact that MLB.com shop wrote "you're favorite team's logo" makes me cringe. Honestly. YOUR, not YOU'RE. (/serious pet peeve)

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:57 PM

Maybe someone can alert them to their error, Liza?

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:58 PM

Oh, and Ian, I was going to officially "support" you as governor of CT but I'm apparently ineligible. I think you have to be 18.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:58 PM

Yay for hits and speeds!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 3:58 PM

*speed.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:00 PM

Ecl, check your inbox now.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:00 PM

thanks liza. i figured i might as well run for governor. what do i have to lose. It's not like i'm going to win.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:01 PM

and as you could tell i have no shame in "whoring" myself out on my website.

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:02 PM

I'm back. Ian, I gave you my support. And you never know, remember, no negativity.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:02 PM

you can tell it's been a long trip. Don & jerry are having issues identifying players

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:03 PM

I was thinking glass "half empty'. that way I won't be let down if it doesn't happen.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:04 PM

Cool, Ian, you're running? If Liza's ineligible, I probably can't vote, either, but what site do you vote at? I could probably convince my parents to vote...

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:05 PM

I just realized I completely misinterpreted that. I thought you were running as Red Sox Nation governor.
Oops. Completely disregard everything I said, except that part about it being cool.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:06 PM

Ok, nevermind, I did interpret it correctly. I think I have to start thinking before I type...

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:06 PM

Nice one NJ. I think there is a link on soxanddawgs right?

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:08 PM

Liza, will do!

Ian, I'll be giving you support momentarily!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:09 PM

Nice work, infield guys!

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:10 PM

What?!? You have to live in NE to pledge support to a governor? Sorry, Ian, I guess I can't help you out...

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:11 PM

Yep, Avery, there's a link there. If my brain was functioning properly, I would have noticed that five minutes ago before I had an imaginary conversation with myself...

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:13 PM

nj: The state field is for Ian, who is in CT. It took my support just fine, and I'm nowhere near New England. Is it your computer again?

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:14 PM

Oh yeah JD!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:14 PM

no vertigo for you

[ Ian ] says:

yes there's a link at the bottom of today's afternoon delight post.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:15 PM

Yeah JD!

Liza, the links didn't come through in your message, but I think I can find what I'm looking for in the ones nj provided. Thanks for trying! :-)

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:16 PM

it also has the information needed for the applicant section.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:16 PM

and thank you to those who are "endorsing me".

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:17 PM

Does the HTML show up, or do the links just not work? (punches LJ)

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:17 PM

and apparently i can't type anything more than one sentence at a time

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:17 PM

ECL, you're right. And it's not my computer that's messed up this time--it's my brain (I guess that's what I get for going to bed at 4:40 am).

I guess I can support you then, Ian, unless it tells me I'm not old enough. I let you know in a few minutes...

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:18 PM

He kicked it not just once, but twice. Ha.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:20 PM

ahhhhhhhhhhh another manny being manny moment. I'm guessing he thought that was going to be a home run.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:20 PM

Liza, it just shows the text where you mention the items and then there's blankness. No HTML code or links at all.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:20 PM

Oh Manny. Silly Manny.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:20 PM

"We're Sorry...
You are ineligible to complete this form."

I guess that means I can't endorse you then, Ian. At least I tried...

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:20 PM

You can't click on the "here" in "here is x item" or anything? Ugh. I'll try and send the URLs, I guess...

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:21 PM

Awww, Manny. We love you anyway.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:21 PM

NJ i got ya beat. I went to "bed" at 6 AM. I was helping a plugin developer fix one of the plugins i was using on my site. i had to take it down for now though until he fixes it again. I love being a test dummy.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:22 PM

Ecl - Ugh, that's obnoxious. I just looked at the "sent" folder and it's weird. Sorry. And I don't have the URLs saved. I suppose you could Google them?

Hey look, it's Craig!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:22 PM

it's ok youngens. one day you'll be able to vote :D

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:22 PM

and by the way, my body got me up at 7 AM, so needless to say i'm ready to crash.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:24 PM

Hush. I can vote in the presidential election in 2012... (the, you know, USA one, not the RSN one)

Oh yeah, Craig!

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:25 PM

Wow, Ian.

Liza, I tried sending someone a message on LJ with links before, but it didn't work. It puts blank spaces in where the links are supposed to be.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:26 PM

nice job apnea free boy

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:26 PM

I went to sleep around 3 and my dog woke me up around 9:30 by licking me on the cheek. It was cute, but I wanted to sleep in.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:26 PM

Liza, the links are probably in your browsing history...

[ Avery ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:26 PM

Was that actually an 8 pitch inning? Good job Hansen!

[ jules ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:27 PM

Happiness is 1-2-3 innings from the pen.

I've been cleaning house today, so haven't been online.

Bliss would be a housekeeper ;-).

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:28 PM

Oh, they are. But I don't want to go through them all, I'm lazy.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:28 PM

i'll live. nothing good on tv tonight anyways.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:29 PM

Liza, I didn't think to click on "here" but didn't see any variation in appearance that looked like a link.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:30 PM

yes bliss would be a house keeper jules. not like i'm that messy

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:30 PM

Jules, that would be bliss for me too, but actually, I've sort of given up on housekeeping. Maybe next weekend...maybe not.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:32 PM

My room is so messy! Seriously, you can't see the floor.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:32 PM

/random: One drawback of listening to audiocasts is that the ad jingles turn into earworms after awhile. "One-eight-hundred-fifty-four-GIANTS..."

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:33 PM

it beats hearing vivvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvva viagra

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:34 PM

Yaaay Jacoby!

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:35 PM

That's probably the most annoying commercial ever, ECL! It probably seems like that because we hear it during almost every single break of every single game.
ONE EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY FOUR GIANT!!

[ jules ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:35 PM

nj...are you *my* kid? heeheee

I worked all last weekend, so was behind. I need to get my bum outside and do some weeding. joy.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:37 PM

LOL Ian, you're right. I'm not at all offended by the *intent* of those commercials, but the song is completely obnoxious.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:37 PM

rays won again

[ jules ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:37 PM

Pleats rocks. Seriously that guy can flat out play.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:38 PM

PLEATS!

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:38 PM

The worst part is that the Viva Viagara commercials are SO CATCHY. I have to mute the TV when they come on so I don't have the jingle stuck in my head for hours on end afterward.

[ jules ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:39 PM

I hate those commericals--the viva singing. ugh. They take some Zeppelin therapy to exterminate the ear worm ;-)

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:40 PM

You're right, Ian!
Probably, Jules!

I was about to add the Lawrence Toyota commercial to our list of annoying ones, but I just realized none of you have ever heard it...

[ jules ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:40 PM

The Yanks are losing. Too bad TB won.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:41 PM

Yaaay, they won for me! :D

[ jules ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:41 PM

nj, local car ads in general are usually horrible.

GAME! I'm glad we didn't need Paps.

See ya'll tomorrow. Time to finish the housework.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:42 PM

The "Head On" commercials are pretty annoying, too.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:42 PM

Oh yeah, muting the TV -- there are a few things that garner that response from me.

Yay for wins!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:42 PM

good win for the boys. enjoy the rest of your sunday y'all.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:44 PM

Get some sleep, Ian!

nj: Head On. Ugh. And local car ads -- boo, especially the ones with the fake reverb voiceovers.

[ njdevils ] says:
on June 1, 2008 4:45 PM

VIIIVVVVAAA LOS RED SOX!!

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 1, 2008 6:05 PM

Can I just go ahead and say how awesome it is to watch the Red Sox whoop ass 3 days in a row at Camden Yards??

It's oh so very nice!
