Any chance that new Sox nation commercial can be put up on here? SO freaking cute I can't even stand it.

The "Alphabet begins with B, The highest grade is C, Autographs end with K" one?

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 5:55 PM

Yeah- except for the fact they have a MASSIVE spelling error. Somebody's getting fired for that one!

("Alpahbet")

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 5:57 PM

I missed that commerical

[ Danielle ] says:
on June 10, 2008 5:58 PM

Hey everyone! Thank God for Josh Beckett to make my day better even if I don't get to watch the game on tv.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 5:59 PM

Looking forward to joining everyone when I get home...probably close to 7:00. Go Josh and all the rest of our boys! :-)

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:01 PM

Hi folks! I'll be around for about an hour, when I'll have to go to a condo association meeting. At least we'll have the game on in the background so I'll still be able to follow the game.

[ shark ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:03 PM

Is anyone else praying for a thunderstorm?

[ Danielle ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:05 PM

shark, Just don't pray for the ones happening now in Orlando. There's tornado warnings and severe weather warnings near one of my friend's houses who said it got so dark she thought it was night. The street lights even had to go on.

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:06 PM

Greetings from Richmond, VA, where's it's currently a pleasant 103 degrees. GAAAAH

HELLOOO JOSH

[ Ellen ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:06 PM

I'm sure looking forward to this weather breaking.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:08 PM

Is it too early to say that Josh looks filthy tonight?

[ Christy ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:09 PM

Just checking in from the Northwest to tell you all that it is a very pleasant 47 degrees here! Could we trade weather please? PLEASE??
Go Josh!!!!!

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:10 PM

BecKett

Rats--MASN must have had technical difficulties because there was blessed silence (other than crowd noise) for the first few minutes. Now I am cursed with the Most Annoying Voice In Color, Buck Martinez.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:11 PM

According to Remy, "Joco" is playing left. It was a mistake, but it's prompted me to decide to heretofore refer to our starting center fielder as "Joco Crispury."

Nice clean inning there for Joshie.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:12 PM

Buck cannot possibly be worse than McCarver, Morgan or Harrelson. Top 5, maybe - but not worse than the Trinity of Suck.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:12 PM

And of course not, TG. I bet he likes pitching in the heat.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:13 PM

I'm praying for Gisele Bundchen and Bar Rafaeli to come over tonight but I don't think that's happening in my lifetime.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:14 PM

"pitching in the heat" = not a euphemism. Heh.

And calling the centerfielder "Joco" precludes any worry over mixing them up and/or leaving one of them out. They are now melded into one lean, mean, base-stealing diving-catch machine.

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:15 PM

hi everyone

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:15 PM

Gisele is WAY prettier than Bar. Although, I'm not partial to blondes. I think the most beautiful woman in the world is Catherine Zeta-Jones.

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:15 PM

Who is Buck Martinez I never heard him before. Or should I consider my self lucky?

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:16 PM

Joco should have Coco's hair and Jacoby's arms.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:17 PM

"Joco" could catch on. And half of it just tripped trying to stop around third base.

[ Ellen ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:17 PM

*swoon* over Jacoby's arms.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:17 PM

Buck Martinez - annoying commentator and manager of Team USA in the WBC.

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:19 PM

I feel for Boston, the temp was like that down here before the rain started

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:19 PM

I grew up with McCarver doing Mets games so I'm kind of used to him. Morgan and Harrelson amuse me but it's not so much what Buck has to say as his incredibly annoying grating voice.

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:19 PM

This is fun.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:20 PM

Maybe Daniel Cabrera will start another benches-clearing brawl, like he did last year.

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:20 PM

aww Manny and his wife are so cute

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:21 PM

Popping in for a moment to tell all those sweltering on the East Coast that relief is in sight for you. The front is currently passing (rather violently) though Western NC and we've dropped from 90 to the upper 60s.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:21 PM

Best announcer voice in baseball? Harry Kalas. So smooth and old-timey baseball-like.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:21 PM

You know who's gorgeous? Anna Delcarmen. Seriously.

Yay Jacoby!

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:22 PM

any pictures of her?

[ shark ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:25 PM

any pictures or tidbits from Tek's event last night?

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:25 PM

I remember seeing some pictures of her from Youk's Hits for Kids event over the offseason. It was when they did that newlyweds-type show with the Manny and Anna Delcarmen, Tito and Jacque Francona, Youk and his fiancee, and Jacoby and his girlfriend... I'll try and find the photos.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:28 PM

not anna delcarmen but rather MDC looking good in blue.

http://www.babble.com/CS/blogs/famecrawler/2007/09/08-15/Rookies_dress.jpg

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:29 PM

Video of the Mrs. Delcarmen (and the Mrs. Francona, soon-to-be-Mrs. Youkilis and "Galpal" Ellsbury) from that event here.

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:30 PM

they are soooo hot

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:30 PM

Why did they call her "galpal'?

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:33 PM

Like britney spears underwear during her crazy period, i'm off y'all.

Have a good night.

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:33 PM

TG--no. Vin Scully. Even though I hate the Dodgers, but he used to do the Saturday national games on NBC. I'm getting old. :(

[ Erin-2 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:37 PM

Gonna have to agree with Trish here. Vin Scully is the best announcer in baseball, not to mention the classiest guy around.

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:38 PM

That was an excellent AHHH SHIT face from Josh.

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:39 PM

come on Josh execute

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:40 PM

Hi Y'all!

I don't like these 3pm start times. I turn on the tube and Josh has 'em loaded with one out? wow. let's go Commander Kick Ass!

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:40 PM

I have no idea. The Inside Track ladies are stuck in the '50s at times.

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:42 PM

Come on Josh.

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:42 PM

its ok minor blip, he'll get it this time

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:43 PM

There was a big gallery from the Youk event, though... I think it was linked to from the enormous Jacoby picspam-turned-fangirlchat...

Also, shit.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:43 PM

Note I didn't say "best announcer" -- I said "best announcer voice".

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:44 PM

Josh, don't think--just throw the damn thing as hard as you can.

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:45 PM

Come on!

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:45 PM

WTH?

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:46 PM

is that jacoby out there because it sure as hell doesn't seem like it

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:46 PM

I meant to write "best announcer voice" anyway. I like Harry Kalas, but I'll take Scully in a voice-off any day.

Damn it, Josh.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:46 PM

Josh's face after that one was like, "...I'm so gonna kick his ass later."

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:46 PM

Someone should hide the coolers

[ Danielle ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:47 PM

Alright who jinxed this game.... ;)

Im wicked superstitious - what can I say?

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:47 PM

When did this game go into the shitter??

Come on Josh. Execute pitches, throw fucking strikes! You owned their asses in Baltimore just over a week ago.

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:47 PM

LOL, Erin. They should. This inning is not Josh's best.

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:48 PM

me2 danielle

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:48 PM

Josh? Listen to Tek? Please?

In other words QUIT IT

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:48 PM

What happened to Josh?

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:49 PM

Come on bats!

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:49 PM

YOOOOOUUUUK.

OK, bats...let's overcome this.

I gotta run and get some work done.

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:50 PM

I'm not pointing any fingers, but may I suggest that any time you have to ask, "Is it to early to say...?" the answer is YES.

[ kate ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:55 PM

beckett needs to keep the ball down like last year... that was painful

[ boston_princess ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:56 PM

Hey Shark

Erin posted photos and a story on jason-varitek.com

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:57 PM

that inning was lame

[ kate ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:59 PM

not pretty at all

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 6:59 PM

Aw, crap - I'm off to my condo association meeting to discuss important issues like how we can't keep a groundskeeper because people aren't cleaning up their dog poop.

I'll have an eye (or two) on the game and hope to return here before too long.

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:00 PM

QUINT MAN

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:02 PM

There's a good possibility that josh's press conference could look like this tonight.

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:02 PM

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:03 PM

Ian- That video is crazy

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:08 PM

Ian that video was crazy

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:11 PM

well guys I hate to leave so soon but I have to finish planning a party.

[ kate ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:14 PM

watched that last night on the news i thought well at least he's not killing people ....

[ Di ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:17 PM

bye

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:18 PM

(phew) just got home; the drive resembled going through a pressure wash. Is anyone here?

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:19 PM

Mikey...so close!

[ kate ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:20 PM

thank you manny for not hitting into a doubleplay

[ kate ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:21 PM

whew close one but at least we got a run

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:23 PM

I'm here for now. I need to work, but am completely fried. good news is that I found out today I'm going to get an assistant! I'm looking forward to not working 6-7/days a week.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:26 PM

Can we add another color commentator in Eddie Murray? Please?

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:27 PM

Dang, Jules, no one should have to work 6-7/days a week!

I'm pretty fried too...work stress and all. It's our busiest time of the year, among other things. At the moment I'm just trying to wind down from the day! Those two runs just helped start my evening off well.

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:29 PM

Yeah, I'm tired. I've been wicked busy, but can't complain too much. I can set my own hours and work extra hours at home (on my couch, watching the Sox ;-).

Liza, isn't he great! I enjoyed listening to him.

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:30 PM

Eddie Murray was great!

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:34 PM

BecKKKett

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:35 PM

He really was. I hope he comes up to the booth every time the Sox play the O's--although it'd give Baltimore fans who prickle at Millar going to the Celtics game another reason to believe they're being betrayed (no offense, O's fans).

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:36 PM

COCO!!

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:36 PM

COCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[ Trish ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:36 PM

WTG COVELLI

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:36 PM

COCO!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:37 PM

I can flex my schedule somewhat due to medical appointments, and also come in at 9:30 to accommodate my internal clock. My job duties aren't tied to patient care so I can sit in my cube until whenever.

Jules, what line of work are you in?

Yeah, Coco! (can't wait to see the replay!)

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:37 PM

Liza- Baltimore fans are just bitter.

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:38 PM

damn, I wish I could have seen that catch
sounding exciting on the radio.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:38 PM

Anyone see Manny's ceremony, and if so, how was it?

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:38 PM

Hey Bethie, did the front come through your neighborhood yet?

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:42 PM

Can't the rain hit here?

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:43 PM

SHUT UP. NOBODY CARES ABOUT SOX APPEAL.

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:43 PM

I'm a user interface designer--design web-based applications. Flex time is great.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:44 PM

I care about Sox Appeal. It's good fodder for the blog

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:45 PM

Sox Appeal annoys me so much.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:45 PM

especially when she's explaining something to that dude and he's like um ok I'm not getting any from you.

btw i'm back.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:45 PM

It will, Erin...it just hasn't moved far enough east yet. The northern end of it is still in NY and PA. You may be pleasantly surprised by tomorrow morning. Just pack an umbrella!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:46 PM

although my interpretation of that little segment was that she does in fact "like to choke the chicken".

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:47 PM

I keep on checking the maps and the closest storm is near my town is near the MA/NY border

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:47 PM

TEK! Great throw!

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:48 PM

Doesn't seem like it, course we only hit the high 90's today...supposed to get to 100 from what they said this morning, but I don't think it ever got there. Heat is supposed to break tomorrow, high will only be around 92. YAY!

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:50 PM

Has anyone been to D.C in the summer? It's really hot there.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:50 PM
I care about Sox Appeal. It's good fodder for the blog
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

So true.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:50 PM

Wow jules, that's pretty heady stuff you do! I work with electronic medical records for the most part. The flex time aspect is one of the things keeping me there -- also the fact that it's a fabulous organization. The big fly in the ointment right now involves a new boss who could give Leona Helmsley (The Queen of Mean) a run for her money. I'm laying low for now and seeing how it goes over the next little while.

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:52 PM

It's a lot of fun...I love it. I know someone who is working on a huge electronic medical records project.

NOW, I've got to run!

Go Sox!

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:52 PM

Didn't Sox Appeal win a New England emmy or some award like that?

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:53 PM

Heat has broken here, Bethie. It's 67 at the moment! Supposed to be 83 tomorrow and 79 on Thursday. Ahhhhh.....

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:55 PM

Lucky for you! I'm jealous. :)

This game is wearing me out. lol

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:55 PM

Cabrera also threw at Pedroia last season.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:56 PM

Milar is telling Tito to tell Josh not to throw at one of the Orioles

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:56 PM

Erin, here's a link to a radar map that you can click to animate (the animated loop tab is above the map). I'm giving you the one for the northeast. You can check the progress of the weather. It'll get there, don't worry!

http://www.intellicast.com/National/Radar/Current.aspx?location=USNY0124&enlarge=true

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:56 PM

Cabrera better watch out. Pedroia would wear out his shins.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:57 PM

I loved that call from D.O.

Far deep gone

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:57 PM

JD Drew is a MASHER. Holy cow!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:57 PM

Yeah JD!!!!!!

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:57 PM

DREW!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:57 PM

The call was great on WRKO too, Ian!

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:57 PM

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! JD DREW!!!

I love this man!!!

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:58 PM

Back to Back!

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:58 PM

Hey all! Just turned on the game, groaned at the score (four runs for Beckett?!), and saw JD Drew homer AGAIN!

[ Kara ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:58 PM

MANNY!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:58 PM

UMMMMMMMM...That one was crushed as well.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:58 PM

MANNY!

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:58 PM

YESSSS!!!!!!! 505!!!!! I love you Manny!!!!!!

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 10, 2008 7:59 PM

Holy shit!

AWESOME! Go Manny!

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:00 PM

Look at that. I come back. The Red Sox come back.

[ Avery ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:06 PM

Hello, how is everyone?

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:09 PM

BEAT LA BEAT LA Chants are back

[ Kara ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:11 PM

DUSTY

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:11 PM

I'm thinking pedroia had a pretty good inning defensively.

[ jESSI ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:11 PM

Yay superman!

[ Kara ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:13 PM

I'm thinking I picked a good favorite player last year.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:13 PM

So I take it JD and Manny went deep back-to-back? (Had to rush off for a minute)

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:17 PM

Hey Liza, yes they did!

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:21 PM

wow! I was changing when I heard my husband cheering (didn't even know he was home ;-).

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's go Oki!

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:22 PM

OKie

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:22 PM

I'm back! But I've been watching the whole time.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:23 PM

113 pitches through 6 innings? Jeeeeez. Not exactly the most economical we've seen Joshie.

[ Avery ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:26 PM

Lets go Oki

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:29 PM

I jinxed him. BAD TG.

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:31 PM

That is BAD. Unjinx him and quick ;-).

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:33 PM

Why is Oki out in the 7th?

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:33 PM

Okie's not doing so hot either now.

Yuck, Huff.

[ Ash ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:34 PM

I have the espn gamecast up (was doing work, couldn't really watch...) and here I was thinking that Manny Delcarmen was loading the bases, because that's who they said was pitching.

I'm worried about Oki.

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:34 PM

ugh. Oki. Pull him. now. (he should've been pulled before Huff)

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:36 PM

Wow. My comment was "held for approval by the owner."
I'm not happy but it wasn't that bad.

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:36 PM

Okay, let's get Oki out of there, please. At least now I feel a little better about dropping him from my fantasy team.

[ Ryan ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:36 PM

Hey guys, coming out of lurking mode to ask a quick question - Did they just say the Beckett is erased from a decision? I thought that since he played 6 innings and left with the lead, he could qualify for the win.

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:36 PM

Again I ask what was Oki doing in the 7th.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:38 PM

Fuck.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:38 PM

ryan he's erased from the decision since the game was tied at that point.

[ Erin ] says:

He would have qualified for the win if the Orioles hadn't tied the game (and now taken the lead).

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:39 PM

when they said it that is.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:40 PM

sorry i disappeared, am on the phone...

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:40 PM

Come on bats!

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:40 PM

Thank you MDC. Now let's get some runs!

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:41 PM

Once the Orioles tied the score, the win was erased for Beckett.

In order to qualify for a win, you have to pitch 5 complete, plus leave with the lead. But if the team blows the lead, you get a No Decision. (similarly, if you leave down in the score, but the team comes back and ties the score, you get a No Decision)

[ Ryan ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:41 PM

Erin, so even if the Sox win, Beckett won't qualify?

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:42 PM

Once the Orioles tied the game, Beckett cannot factor in the decision.

If the Red Sox come back take the lead in this inning and hold on to win, MDC would get the win since he was the pitcher of record when the Red Sox retook the lead.

[ Ryan ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:43 PM

Oh ok thanks guys, I'm always confused on the winning/losing pitcher thing.

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:43 PM

That's alright though, I don't really know that Beckett deserved the win tonight. Just my opinion though. But his stuff was kinda junky.

Now, we need runs!!

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:45 PM

If, say, the Orioles had only scored one run, and we left that inning leading 6-5, Beckett would still be in the line for the win. The best way to think about it is to just think of the game starting over once it's tied (assuming the starter is out of the game at that point).

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:46 PM

Aw shit, this looks bad. WTF happened in my absence?

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:46 PM

Sorry. I keep forgetting to identify myself as "Erin-2" (though my name is the "Erin" with the link attached, which should help you differentiate).

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:47 PM

Bad shit happened ecl.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:47 PM

Ecl, Okajima happened.

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:48 PM

Looks like Okie misplaced his mojo again :)

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:48 PM

Why didn't they use Hansen or MDC to start w/?

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:49 PM

Hey kids - I have a sweet fieldbox ticket for tomorrow's game, looking for an owner who can pay for it. Before I head out to anonymous-Craig's-list-land or something similar, anyone here interested?

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:50 PM

Yeah, I see that on the Gameday summary. Ugh.

I'm getting confused, Erin -- are there two Erins on here? I've seen your link before. Is the other Erin linkless?

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:50 PM

Oki was out because there were some lefties that inning. Obviously in retrospect, it didn't work out.

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:50 PM

Yes I am.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:51 PM

do we get to sit next to you fc? ;)

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:51 PM

Bradford's roster pic looks so mean. Does he look that creepy in real life?

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:51 PM

There is Erin and Dodger Erin (with the linked name).

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:51 PM

Drew's hitting .320/.425/.539 right now, for the record, including that K.

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:51 PM

I should say, anyone interested in accompanying me. An apologies if this is a misuse of blog comments.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:52 PM

Aha -- "linkless Erin" and "Erin-2." Gotcha! :-)

[ jules ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:52 PM

I'd be all over those tickets if I weren't 3000 miles away ;-).

Off to make some dinner for the fam.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:52 PM

Oh fc, I totally would, but I doubt I can... how much?

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:53 PM

Munching on cole slaw at the moment...off to make a tuna sandwich shortly (I'm not much of a cook, especially during the summer, LOL).

[ Erin-2 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:53 PM

Well, to be fair, it's "Dodger/Sox Erin." My blog covers both teams.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:53 PM

I'd be interested too if Boston wasn't a 2 hour drive and I had any money on me.

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:54 PM

That inning was not cool

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 8:54 PM

Another power outage tonight!!! Dominion Virginia Power S.U.C.K.S. I'm back now but not liking what I see on the telly.

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:01 PM

Face value + service charge will do it, kids. Check the Sox site. If you don't faint we'll figure out a way to get in touch.

Ian, you are so easily discouraged.

[ Danielle ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:02 PM

To think he was good on AI....
Plus could the Lakers at least make a trade for a good announcer

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:04 PM

Nice job, MDC!

[ LifelongSoxFan ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:04 PM

has anyone broached the subject: is Okajima the new Gagne?

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:05 PM

fc i don't think i could handle your awesomeness is the real reason being from my hometown and all.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:06 PM

SoxFan, I wouldn't go that far yet. Gagne was pretty terrible and, at the moment, I can only remember two instances of Oki completely sucking. He was pretty good last year and has had some good innings this year.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:07 PM

oki is sucking against the orioles this year. That's about it.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:09 PM

fc, I'd be interested if my parents wouldn't flip at me meeting someone I'd met online in person (I know I'm little... and I don't mean you're a stalker or anything, that's just how they are). Sounds like a good deal, though.

Also, Lifelong, I just think American hitters have finally figured him out is all. Once he comes up with another way to keep them off-balance, he'll be lights-out Okie again.

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:09 PM

Ian: probably a good call. ;)

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:12 PM

I am so SICK of double plays.

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:12 PM

I'm not watching anymore, but according to Gamecast, that strike two call was very low.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:13 PM

Erin he tried to check his swing, but kinda went around.

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:13 PM

double plays suck

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:13 PM

Are all our guys taking lessons from Lugo in the art of GIDP or something? =/

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:15 PM

Weird. Gamecast said it was "looking." I figured they'd indicate "swinging" if it was a checked swing. Meanwhile, we pin on our hopes on Crisp, Cora and Ellsbury in the ninth.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:15 PM

Yes, but calling you "Dodger/Sox Erin" takes way too long to type. Those extra four characters are a real strain. :)

[ LifelongSoxFan ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:18 PM

this really sucks now

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:18 PM

OH FOR THE LOVE OF...
This is sucking.

[ Texas Gal ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:19 PM

GET SOME OUTS.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:19 PM

Is it ok for me to get excited about these wicked thunderstorms coming my way?

[ Bethie ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:20 PM

Sigh.....

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:22 PM

Thunderstorms just passed through my area - weren't that exciting. Lightning was ok, but the thunder was lacking.

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:23 PM

I hate baseball.

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:23 PM

WTF IS THIS???

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:24 PM

Did I mention that I really hate baseball?

[ Erin ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:24 PM

Son of a bitch!

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:24 PM

I want thunderstorms.

I ALSO WANT OUTS, CRAIG. Although that 97 on the radar gun isn't too bad, I guess.

[ Danielle ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:24 PM

Ian if you wanted thunderstorms you should have come down to Orlando. Part of a roof came off a restaurant and sheds were torn apart the wind was so bad.

And the game in La-La isn't much better

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:24 PM

DAMMIT!

Ian, enjoy the thunderstorms. You'll feel so much better after they whip Connecticut to kingdom come.

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:26 PM

Nice dp but we could have used it a couple runs ago.

[ LifelongSoxFan ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:27 PM

just lost my power again and missed that fucking run!!! good....I'm in a wicked bad mood now, gonna log off...this game isn't happening

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:29 PM

WRKO just had a Joseph A Bank commercial. I *hate* those commercials and that freakin' snob store! Urgh. That doesn't help my mood one bit.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:30 PM

I don't really care what the t-storms do. As long they pull out all this humidity and heat I'll be happy.

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:31 PM

OK, umps shooing bugs away = funny.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:33 PM

Jacoby's wrist still isn't right. REST HIM TOMORROW, Tito.

Ugh. That was not a fun one.

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:33 PM

I hate baseball and I still need someone to go to the game with me tomorrow. /loser

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:33 PM

Ian, this time last night it was 15 degrees warmer than it is right now, if that's any indication of the relief the front will bring.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:34 PM

Better luck tomorrow, guys...

[ Jessi ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:34 PM

Well this sucked majorly. I hope Yanks and Rays suck more.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:35 PM

where i was last night back in the hometown again, it was 95 plus out, at the same time, it was 85 down here. and that's only about 32 miles difference.

[ Liza ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:36 PM

Aww fc. I would come if I could.

[ fc ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:36 PM

Ian, that's the difference between inland and coast.

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:37 PM

okay y'all. have a good night.

fc have fun at the game and I hope you find someone to go. and your not a loser.

[ ecl1958 ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:37 PM

Ian, are you right near the shore?

[ Ian ] says:
on June 10, 2008 9:38 PM

that's why i like i down here fc.

okay now i'm out.

[ boston_princess ] says:

[ fc ] says:
