Man, I haven't done this in so long! I miss the discussion. But, unfortunately, one of my non-basebally friends is coming over. My mom, her mom, and my grandma are doing something here. I'm forcing her to watch the game (even though I have 7 House's in my DVR library), I just can't chat it up here. Tomorrow is my mom's birthday, but I told I have to watch Justin pitch, so my mom, dad and me will watch that together and I'll leave the laptop in my room to spend some time with her during the game. Wednesday I have a church thing, Thursday I'm sleeping over my friend's house, and then maybe Friday I'll be able to join you guys again! See ya then...
Hello everyone! Sorry If I've been gone lately. There have been a ton of family events for me in the pass few weeks so I haven't had much time to spend in these threads.
if you don't see a post from me here in a while, it's because i passed out. someone in my building is smoking some serious maryjane right now and it smells wonderful in here.
I just looked on this "friend's" facebook (can't stand the girl) and guess what I just freakin saw? She has pictures of her and Pedroia! And a picture of Manny's 500th homerun! I guess she got one of those package deals for the game. I kinda wanna kill myself right now.
Hahaha MASN just said how Brian Roberts "stole" Pedroia's glove. They claim that he walked over and put Pedroia's glove way up high so he couldn't reach it. Hahaha.
I kinda feel bad for him because the strike zone has been so wacky lately. Some days it's huge and other days pitchers are lucky to get a called strike.
if it makes you feel better, i checked wiki first ;) but since I knew he wasn't the host anymore, i checked nesn since i'm there in the hazel mae chat right now.
Brandon Moss is crazy good. When I was at Fenway earlier this year the guy sitting next to me couldn't stop raving about him (this was when Drew was out with his sprained wrist).
But stranding more baserunners? Not exactly crazy good.
well they have a month to fill the position. My guess is we see kathryn a little more (maybe taking over as main anchor). but yeah they will probably hire another looker for the screen either way.
That was surreal--I honestly think I just nodded off in front of the computer. I looked up and Baltimore has two runs now. And Hernandez is up now. Creepy D:
Not quite. I stayed up until like 2 (not at all uncommon for me) to watch the Mets/Dodgers and finish my homework, then had a softball game just now (and walked like 2 miles home afterward). I'm basically just wiped out.
-Oh, I've been dying to tell this to anyone who would listen, and since this is the internet, I can do that now. Okay.
On my way out of the park on Saturday, I was giddy and skipping and things when I stopped at a crosswalk. A cab pulled up, and I glanced inside, and I nearly died when I saw Remy looking back at me. :']
Yeah, I checked the schedule and it IS Wednesday. Excellent -- I'm leaving work early that day anyway. And it's great to see that some games get added on TV as the season progresses.
I hate it when you all say good catch. It makes me sad I can only watch it on gameday :( But I like knowing that the boys make good catches too. Yes. Basically.

So Liza...you're not the only one who is absolutely fried. If I hadn't had to get something for an office potluck, I would have blown off grocery shopping. I'm totally exhausted. Supper will probably help...if one of the essential parts ever finishes defrosting in the microwave!
And Ecl, I'm thinking of actually going to sleep at 10, regardless of what's going on in the game. There's no way I'm staying awake much longer than that.
Anyone catching any part of the Yanks/Twins game on ESPN? That guy Reyes who is pitching for the Twins has the biggest head I have ever seen on a human.
Two kids in my bio class had put spiked orange juice in a water bottle and were drinking it today in class. They started giggling like crazy--well, like Don and Remy, now that I think about it.
Liza, that reminds me of the time my college roommate, a diabetic, needed to bring her sugar level up the morning after a party. She reached into our little fridge, grabbed the bottle of orange juice, took a big swig - GULP! I had turned it into screwdrivers the night before.
Liza and Ecl, I want to go to bed early, but I have too much homework. Finals start next week, so I have to study for those. And I have a test in Health tomorrow on, well, I think you can guess what it's on...
I would give anything to go to bed early, but I have a final tomorrow, two Thursday, another Friday, and a bunch more next week. And I'm getting wayyy too distracted by this game.

The Herald’s Tony Massarotti is reporting that David Ortiz has ligament damage in his left wrist and will be out at least a month. If the injury doesn’t heal correctly in that time span, Ortiz will have to undergo surgery.
I don't often use the term "douche" (and by "don't often" I pretty much mean "never"), but if I was to apply it to anyone*, it'd definitely be Huff. He's an asshole.
Yeah, fc, I know. Bad enough that we lost the lead in the first place, but Okie has really put us in a bad position now. If it had just stayed 3-3, I would have no doubts about our chances. Now, I'm not feeling so great.
The videos just stopped working for me, too, ecl. It started to load and the ones before it worked, but not this one. It's not just me (or you), then, I guess...
Manny doesn't care if he DH's with big Papi out. He said the Red Sox will miss his Gold Glove out in left.
Official diagnosis - partial tear of the ECU tendon sheath. He's in a soft cast and surgery won't be needed. There is no timetable for his return and has been placed on the 15-day DL.
The official diagnosis is a partial tear of the ECU tendon sheath. He has been placed in a hard cast that he will be immobilized for 2 weeks. He’ll then need at least 10 days to 2 weeks to swing the bat and get back into playing shape. He most likely won’t need surgery to repair this uncommon injury. There is no timetable for his return yet although it appears the initial report of a month is right on.. He has been placed on the 15-day DL.
