Made For Each Other

Basketball is an odd-duck sport for me - I don't have a team I live and die by. I'll watch some of the playoffs, but rarely sit and watch a full regular-season game. There's no team I hate- and what's more, there's no players I dislike. Except one.

Asked if he was disappointed in Schilling's comments, [Kobe] Bryant responded, "Go Yankees!" and pumped his fist, drawing laughter from reporters Wednesday.
All I can say is - you deserve each other. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

What a jackass. Kobe always gives me the impression that he doesn't respect anyone else's beliefs, opinions, choices, or lives. Even as a die-hard Celtics fan, I don't trash every Lakers player all the time, but I do think Kobe's ego has him believing that he can't ever be taken down a notch.. and when we let him continue with his life + win awards + get zillion-dollar contracts after being accused of RAPE - he just might be right.

I don't even really know who this guy is (I am not at all a basketball person), but he sounds like a real piece of work.

ugh.. this post makes me a bit sad because i'm a die hard Lakers Fan and a super Red Sox Fan. This playoff series has got me a bit conflicted.

Go Red Sox, Go Lakers :)

this blog is the best Red Sox blog out there.. i can't function throughout the day without having my Center field fix.

I never liked the guy, but I lost all respect for his wife when she stuck by him for a ring. Granted I don't think anyone else will ever know if it was rape or not, but he still cheated and nothing will change that.

Think about it, if that's how he treats his wife and his teammates, imagine if you weren't on his side?

I used to watch the Celtics back in the day with Bird, McHale, Parrish etc not so much anymore but I have been watching the playoffs.

Kobe is one of the biggest dick's in professional sports, it's no secret. Curt knows and that's why he said what he said in his blog. He's all about himself, no one else matters. I'm glad Curt did that, as a matter of fact I laughed my ass off when I read it!

Screw you Lakers!
GO CELTICS!

Kobe was attacked by big mouth Schilling and he made a joke back.
Get over it.

If you start something then you deserve what you get and those comments were it.

If any of you knew the facts you would know that Kobe had been pretty respectful of the old rivalry through the years even when the Celtics sucked. Something bandwagon jumpers would know nothing about.

I'm fine with the joke - I just find it fittingly perfect that the jackass would-be-rapist is a Yankees fan. They fit together perfectly.

Also, don't go throwing around "if any of you knew the facts" and "bandwagon jumpers" - it makes you sound reactionary. I am neither a bandwagon jumper nor ignorant of the NBA... I just flat out don't like Kobe. He's a total jerk - I don't give a shit what kind of "respect" he gives to the rivalry.
