Tizzy

I don't know whether you've heard or not, but there appears to be a bit of a freak-out in progress over one Manuel Aristides Ramirez.

Predictably, CHB has shared his rational, well-reasoned and not-at-all-biased thoughts on the issue (not just once, but twice). And, naturally, WEEI is conducting a solemn and dignified discussion on the matter. The staid Herald is, of course, loathe to contribute to the maelstrom. The New York media is definitely not going to fan the flames. And a very small number of Red Sox blogs have pontificated on the subject as well, but just a few.... you know, like: here, here, here, here, here (and then here), here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here (and on and on and on).

It's official. Everyone's worked themselves up into a tizzy.

We've got ourselves a honest-to-goodness, old-fashioned, crazy-ass tizzy fit going on! Screaming and crying and wailing and rending of garments and teeth gnashing. Loud noises! Dogs and cats, living together... mass hysteria!

This is gearing up to be a tizzy of epic proportions. A tizzy which we haven't seen the likes of since... well, last week with Brett Favre. So it seems only natural that Tirico Suave has come up with the perfect solution for the massive tizzy:

It's so crazy, it just might work.

bwaaaahaahaaahaaaa...Great photoshopping there.

ESPN was driving me out of my mind last night with their endless blather about Manny. It was all the talk on ESPN this morning, too. I had to refrain myself from yelling at the TV seeing how I was at the gym ;-).

I do not understand why everyone is freaking out. Two things always seem to happen around this time every year:

- Yankees acquire many new players to improve their team and start winning

- And Manny trade rumors go around.

I don't know about next year, but for now Manny is here to stay.

I think everyday for the past two weeks its been MANNY WAS FINED SO HE STRUCK OUT ON PURPOSE MANNY FAKED HIS KNEE INJURY SO HE DIDNT HAVE TO PLAY MANNY WANTS TO LEAVE MANNY SHOULD BE TRADED WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH

People you should KNOW BETTER. this happens like every year.
In April he said he wanted to stay in Boston foreverrrr. In July, he says he's done here after this season. WHO KNOWS what he'll be saying in a month-2 months from now.

I just gotta play the change the channel/ignore the headlines game, every time I see the word Manny and it isn't about how he performed in the game.

idk idk, do you think favre has the natural hitting ability manny does? We've seen Manny make some fantastic throws from time to time, could be vital for the packers.

While I really do think there's a difference in the tenor of the tizzy this time out (and offseason will bring its own dramas), I have to say, Manny and the Sox do this annually at this time of the year. Soon, it will be time for Manny to take his August vacation.

I'm thinking Favre could join Wakefield in the Aging Knuckleballers Club.

Manny could maybe play halfback. I can't see him doing the running required to be a TE or DB or WR.

Oh My god I mentioned this to my mom the other night that they should just stick Manny on the GB Packahs and Favre on the Sox. Im sick of hearing about Favre though. He's even in a TMobile ad. Hes one bad bum rash that will NOT go away! I dont CARE how well of a player he is, in my eyes his mediawhorebagging is making him look like a gaping ass! :) Yes Im departing my soapbox now!! Gotta show my mom that photo though TG. BIG Props to the creativity you provide on here!
