hey, i'm back, but not for long sadly... cookies in the oven...
i was at the last two games in baltimore! it was amazing, pedroia almost threw me the ball after that amazing catch but he gave it to some little kid instead...
That was the first time I've seen that ad with Justin Masterson in the Olympia Sports commercial. Is he trying to take Papelbun's role as the actor of the team.
it was nice to see some baseball players are actually normal.
we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time
I'm working on some UConn football stuff for the site and taking notes from this mornings press conference at UConn so I can have some notes and not have to rely on actual media for quotes.
I heard one of the announcers say "I try to explain it as simple as I can for the listeners" when I realize I had successfully tuned out the entire conversation. Now, the "Hawk" was so annoying it was impossible for me to tune him out.
A.J. Burnett is definitely sexy. Which is why I must hate him. You cannot be hot and play for a division rival and be good. If you're hot, you have to suck. (I'm looking at you, Scott Proctor.)
ecl, our Right Fielder is so fragile, so uniquely delicate, that TG observed he resembles nothing so much as a snowflake. Who can hit home runs. And has a herniated disc.
Good grief Jacoby...what a trouper. And the announcers have a lot of nerve complaining that the attention to him took too long. Would they complain if it was one of "their" guys?
I was taking a shower but I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't CRITICIZING Jason Bay's lips - I was just stating that he doesn't have any. I didn't imply that there was anything ugly about it. Hell, *I* don't have lips!
Among other things, the announcers said something to the effect that it was approaching the length of a small rain delay...and that the fans were getting restless...and that their pitcher was just standing out there. Wah, wah, wah. Jerks.
Yes Cathy, batters box. One guy went on about how it was the prettiest box he ever batted in and that they have special clay from NJ. Oh and then there's the mound - which is also pretty damn neat (according to them).
I don't think I will get the image of the floating mound out of my head. I want Nesn and Fenway back. I have been reading about Sox players online to try to distract myself.
I remember Seattle earlier this year, talking about how the Sox should be ashamed to have a player that looks like Manny, and the way he looked was disrespectful. I so don't like Seattle after that.
Dice-k went 6 innings, giving up 5 runs on 8 hits and 1 walk(intentional) while striking out 8.
Pedroia had a 3-run home run, Youk had a RBI single, and I can't remember how the other run scored.
Jacoby crashed into the outfield wall making a catch, and his sunglasses cut his eye, but he stayed in the game. And Toronto fans booed the injury delay.
Wells hit a 2-run home run in the first inning, and had an RBI double later in the game.
Okee dokee. Thanks for the nutshell. Now for the Red Sox to, you know, not suck here. Why do the Blue Jays have to actually do well against the Red Sox?
