Yeah, I watched the Rays win on tv. Just turned it on for the 9th inning, was hoping to see them lose. Just finishing dinner, good timing. I guess I missed a good game last nite, got home from work right after it ended.
So is this really the proverbial straw for the Yankees, or can they really overcome it, with Chamberlain unavailable as either a reliever or as a starter?
Pete Abraham of the Journal News seems to think we won't see Joba again this season.
I don't see the Yankees rushing him back at all. He's the future of that pitching staff and if he got hurt rushing him back they lose him for even longer.
my favorite with these announcers was in the first game of this series, they said "ortiz has got to be uncomfortable in his new spot in the lineup, he's been batting cleanup behind manny for years now"
It’s a bruise, not a fracture, to Kevin Youkilis’ right hand. He was hit by a pitch in the first inning and had to leave the game. The impact was at the base of the thumb, near the wrist. X-rays taken here at Kauffman Stadium were negative. His status is day-to-day.
Hey everyone, just got home from work. I'm liking the score! Hmm I see Jed was amazing again. I believe that he has more RBIs than Lugo now. And Jacoby's hitting and diving - very nice.
Joba news: I just read he has rotator cuff tendinitis. I don't know what that is but its the same injury that Posada had who ended up having season-ending surgery.
Sorry about that, I didn't really read anything near the top. Well that is good news for us. He'll either miss just a few starts or the Yanks will shut him down for the season.
