Totally unrelated to baseball: Is anyone else out there dealing with severe gas shortages since Ike? I kid you not, around here there are gas lines, cops to keep control, and the local newspaper is posting lists of which stations actually have gas. There's also been a lot of gouging, as you may imagine.

When leaving St. Petersburg Thursday, I had to drive an hr to find gas. However, it was still .30 cheaper than where I live.

It seems to be mainly a problem in the Southeast, Jules. I was just reading about similar issues in Atlanta. I'm starting to get worried about how I'm going to fill my tank later this week.

Well, think about it this way: you could be like my parents in Houston who are STILL without power. And have no idea when they'll be getting it back.

Our gas is still about 3.60-3.80 here depending on where you go. I go to the grocery store and use my card to save 45 cents a gallon. Of course my Jeep only gets filled up once a month.
