Please Stand By

Murphy's Law dictates that things go to hell when you are not around to fix them. So, naturally, when I left town on Thursday night, this here place suddenly became the most popular place on the planet and used up 3 weeks worth of bandwidth in a couple of hours.

Everything's back to normal now - although I've been working behind the scenes for some time on some changes around here, so this incident may also add "new host" to the renovation list.

One good thing: I was at Wrigley in Chicago to see the Cubs clinch their playoff berth. I'm hopeful now that I'm back in town I can bring some of that same luck to the local 9... and we'll see the Sox clinch their playoff spot today (or tomorrow).

I second what Ian said! Glad you got to see the Cubbies do their thing, too.

Texy, where did the traffic come from? I saw 2,061 at one time. Amazing.

If you need any help behind the scenes, let me know.

TG I just thought I'd let you know a contribution you've made to my baseball life. I was "watching" the Giants/Dodgers (refreshing the page on Fox Sports), and when Aaron Rowand was up I started yelling "COME ON, BACON PANTS!" at my computer.

Thank you for that.
