Like I Said...

A wise person once said: "DO NOT EVER LISTEN TO CHB."

Case in point:

Do not underestimate the residue of hard feelings in the wake of Francona hitting for Jason Varitek a second time in these playoffs. Tito lifted Varitek for J.D. Drew against Dan Wheeler in the ninth inning of Game 2. It's refreshingly bold given Tito's reputation at a "player's manager" and it makes good sense, but be assured the captain sees this as an act of abject betrayal.
This has got to be a joke. CHB must finally have realized that we're all on to his game, and he's deliberately planting stuff like this in his columns now-- not just outrageous, but downright insane ramblings. Surely. There can be no other explanation, right? He cannot possibly be arguing that a baseball player with a shitty BA and OBP would consider it a "betrayal" to be pinch hit for by his manager in a close playoff situation. SURELY.

He's just serving cookie fastballs up for us, isn't he?

someone (Tony Maz maybe) wrote about this after the ALDS that the captain was upset on getting pitch hit for. I'm still waiting for Sean Casey to get an at bat.

Shaughnessy is trying to stir shit up as per usual. Also he stole that thing from Mazz and Mazz at least was right about it and said basically "Tek knows it's postseason play so he's okay with it though he does think it sucks" or something close to that.

Man, Shaughnessy is really grasping for straws these days.

Manny's gone and Shill's been scarce for the whole season. Shaughnessy is desperate.
