Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you! I hope you have a happy, safe, fun and relaxing holiday, surrounded by family and friends.

Deadspin buddy Daulerio asked me what I was thankful for, so allow me to requote what was posted over at Deadspin:

I'm thankful for tailgates in the chilly fall air, spring training games in the hot Florida sun, the anticipation of the preseason, and the first day of ball. I'm thankful for 90 feet, 100 yards, and all that happens to cross that distance. I'm thankful for Longhorn football, Boston baseball, Texas BBQ, New England pubs, Colt McCoy, Josh Beckett... and Bacon Pants.
There's no baseball on tonight, obviously... but there is Longhorn football-- so Hook 'Em Horns!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful for family, health, employment, and living in the USA.

My parents and kidlet are in Boise, so my hubby and I are having a quiet Thanksgiving. We *just* finished our dining room remodel, so I'm very thankful for that (and a clean house--finally).

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
I am thankful for my family, friends, and my new online friends. Also that I have a 1 day job tomorrow, better than nothing, since I have been out of work since August.

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm just back from the annual Adventure in Familial Togetherness and, well, I'm thankful that's over. But tedious as that is, I'm thankful that they're there to gather with.

Among other things, I'm also thankful for: being able to live and work near Mecca - er, Fenway Park, Youk's Youkiness, having Mikey Lowell (sort of) for 2008 at least, quiet Canadian left fielders, quiet southern right fielders, drinking buddies, bloggers who create communities and nurse us through the offseason, and Jon's left ear.

I'm obligatorily thankful for friends and family and everything else, but especially thankful for awesome online Red Sox fans. Given that nobody I know cares enough about baseball to talk about it year-round, you all (especially Center Field and its awesome posts--thanks, Texy) keep me sane. And of course I'm thankful for how awesome our team did this year--even though it wasn't quite as amazing as last year, they went down fighting, and that's the most we can ask for. (Special shout-out thanks to Theo for getting an awesome left fielder in return for our ex-beloved narcissistic manchild.)

Here's to being thankful for even better things next year!

Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Other than being thankful for friends and family, etc., I'm thankful for a good year for the Sox and Tim Lincecum winning the NL Cy Young. Hopefully things will be as great for the Sox next year and that the Giants don't suck as much.

Are you a Texas Ex up here in yankeeland? I am also up here until September when I will go back to God's country and make my return to Texas women, Texas bbq, and Texas weather. Plus the folks are nice, are also relgious, and are conservative.
God bless you

Jason Cyrus

I'm grateful for this blog -- it's one of my favorite Sox blogs. Thanks, Tex. But, I'm not feeling warm about the Hook 'em Horns. Boomer Sooner!

and that the Giants don't suck as much.

Hear, Hear! Congrats to Lincecum. I'm going to have to go to more Giants games next year.
