World Sports question by Shane M: What are some issues in the world of sports worth writing about?
I need to write an essay on an issue, policy, or situation in sports that has occured within the past 12 months. Anyone have any ideas of a good topic? It needs to be persuasive essay so there should be 2 conflicting viewpoints. One example I was given but can’t write about is whether implementing a dress code in the NBA was right or not. I was considering writing about NFL players and their troubles with the law but do not have a solid thesis for that topic. Thanks for any suggestions.

How about does the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell have the authority to enforce the personal conduct policy and how it has affected players like Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson, and Chris Henry. For all the people out there that are cheering what Goodell is doing, there are probably as many who say he’s overstepping his boundaries and could become a detriment to the game.
