fall of 2004, the owner of the National Hockey League teams locked the players. It was a period of NHL hockey history all fans sure could be without. For the first time in the history of NHL hockey all season was canceled.

part of the NHL season is past due to disagreements with the collective agreement, but this time we do not even look at the Stanley Cup finals. And it has not happened since 1919, when the Stanley Cup finals has been canceled because of a global flu. The last time was a game between the Montreal Canadiens and Seattle Metropolitans. When the 2004-2005 season was canceled for the first time in the history of NHL hockey, many people thought it was the end of hockey in North America. Particularly important American market and rich. and I’m sure that’s what worries the owner of the clubs the National Hockey League right. But the owners and the NHLPA kept negotiating and finally the owner came to the front. Every time they announced that they had to win the fans back. So they did some serious thought. And what did was “an entirely new game”. or at least that was the motto.
