Center Field has a fantastic community of Red Sox and baseball fans who are passionate about the team and the game -- and now it's your turn to see your name in lights (er, see it in print)... We're now accepting user-submitted posts!

See a great article? Run across a funny picture? Have an interesting take on an issue? Now you can get in on the action, and create a post at Center Field! Just fill in the form below to submit your story idea -- and if it's interesting, funny or cool (and no one's beat you to it), your post could go right up on the blog.

A couple of helpful pointers:
  • Who Are You? : Be sure to fill in your name and details - whatever name you want the article posted under. If you're a registered CF user (and why wouldn't you be?), you should already be logged in and the post will automatically be credited to you!
  • Post Title: Make it snappy or funny! And not too long - brevity is best.
  • Post Content: Now here's where you give us the goods! Tell us all about your find, keeping in mind that it will be posted for all to see (so good grammar, spelling and punctuation will pay off). A helpful list of permitted HTML markup is included- but don't worry if you don't know HTML, because I can jazz it up for you before posting.
  • Credit: Always, always make sure and credit your sources. The website you read something, the newspaper that printed an article, the source for your photos, or all of the above! If you don't tell me where you got something, I won't be able to use it -- so please remember to credit!
  • Editing: I'll review every user-submitted post before it goes live, and will edit as necessary to correct errors or harmonize the post with the style of CF. But I promise to keep the edits to a minimum.
  • Behind the Scenes: There will necessarily be some delay while I review and edit posts before they go live-- but rest assured, they'll go up asap. If two (or more) people submit the same story or idea, the nod will go to the first one to submit.

Most of all, please don't fret if you submit an idea and it doesn't make it on to the front page. There are many different factors that play into a decision about when or why a post goes live-- and if your post doesn't make it, it doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't entertaining. Could be that many other blogs have already covered the same ground, or I had a post covering the topic already in the works, etc. And if that happens, please try again!
